WHAT IS EXTRA ROLE BEHAVIOURS (EXBS)..!!
Definition: Discretionary consent of an individual to behave beyond
the formal lines of role expectation and work for the benefit and effectiveness of the organisation
(Organ et al., 2006).
“Activities that are discretionary in nature (such as helping others), which is not directly or explicitly required by the formal reward system, but does promote overall organizational efficiency.

DIMENSIONS Altruism: behaviors that specifically aid another person in
the organization with an organizationally relevant issue. Conscientiousness: behaviors that aid the organization
in general and go beyond the what is expected by the role. Sportsmanship: stressing on positive aspects and willing
of the to tolerate on less than ideal situations without complaining.
Courtesy: proactive gestures & behaviors aimed at preventing work-related problems with others from occurring.
Civic virtue: behaviors that indicate that the individual responsibly participates in or is involved in the life of the organization & supports administrative functions.
