This Wednesday, October 3rd, is our field trip to
the Philadelphia Zoo. Students need to wear
their gym uniforms for the trip. Please send a
disposable lunch with your child. They need a
small backpack/bag to carry their lunch and
water in for the day. Students are allowed to
bring souvenir money as well. Please feel free
to e-mail me for any other questions. ☺

sequence of events, dialogue, and theme. For
grammar we are focusing in on singular and plural
nouns. We are reading The Sign of the Beaver, by Elizabeth George Speare for literacy groups.

people in the Bible, whose lives were examples to all
around them. writing pieces. This week each student is working on
publishing their narrative writing.
MathMathMathMath- This week we are in Unit 3 of math. We will
practice multiplication properties, using mental math,
estimating product, multiplying by 1-digit numbers,
multiplying by 2-digit by 2-digit numbers, and
exponents. Chapter 3 test is on Friday.
Social StudiesSocial StudiesSocial StudiesSocial Studies- Chapter 2 focuses on the United States
and Canada. We will be discussing the history of each
country and working on an activity to discover more
about their similarities and differences.
