This 3-hour session delivered at the client's site presentsdelegates with the opportunity to gain valuable hands-onexperience, learning how to employ portable fireextinguishers safely and effectively. In addition toextinguisher training, the theoretical input aims to improvetheir overall awareness of fire safety and fire precautions inthe workplace.

Our unique portable training equipment provides clean,safe and highly controlled live fire scenarios. Under closesupervision and guidance delegates will gain valuable hands-on experience and confidence in the use of portable fireextinguishers on small fires.

The practical session includes a realistic simulation to demonstrate why it isimportant not to apply water to fire involving electricity and to highlight thatindividuals should not attempt to tackle fire if the appropriate type of fireextinguisher is not available.

The fires are fuelled by clean-burn propane gas. They do not produce anysmoke and will not leave any residue on your site.

All training is delivered by an experienced instructor who will ensure that asafe and highly controlled training environment, subject to continuous riskassessment, is maintained at all times. This practical training developsdelegates’ confidence and ability to effectively choose and safely use thetypes of fire extinguishers that are located in their workplace.

We always provide adequate equipment to enable everyone to participate inthe practical elements.

Throughout the session it is emphasised that delegates must exerciseextreme caution with fire and under no circumstances put themselves orothers at any risk whatsoever.

Delegates are issued with course notes at the close of the session. Followingdelivery of the training we provide an overall certificate of attendance (listingall of the participants names) for your training records and individualcertificates of attendance. In all cases a breakdown of the course elementsare printed on the reverse of each certificate.

This training proposal is subject to our risk assessment of a suitable areaat, or near to, your site for delivery of the practical elements. We require aflat outdoor area, approximately the size of four to six car parking spaceswith access for vehicles (without height restriction) to enable our van andtwin-axle trailer to enter the site. All our practical training activities are delivered in a high-energy yet highlycontrolled manner, subject to our continuous activity risk assessmentprocess throughout to ensure that a safe training environment is maintainedat all times.

Safety and quality are first in all our activities.

The fires do not produce any smoke and will not leave any residue on yoursite, unless use of the dry powder extinguisher is required - Please ask mefor further details if required.

It is our aim for delegates to leave the training with a desire to improve firesafety in their lives, both at work and at home. We have many testimonialsfrom customers that make positive reference to this, please ask me if youwould like to see examples.

This training is suitable for all staff and aims to improve delegates' confidence,ability and awareness of workplace fire safety. The course is ideal for 15 delegateshowever we can accept up to 20 which assures good value if some of the 20 areunable to attend on the day of the event.

Courses can be completed at your site in approximately 3 hours and with only 15minutes set up time they can easily be fitted around other activities during the day.

During the training delegates are introduced to a range on free-to-access onlineresources that can be used to help promote fire safety messages and safetyinformation to colleagues, family and friends. All courses include free inputinvolving smoke alarms and fire safety at home.
