SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR Task Grade 13: Salary Scale: R399, 250.00 – R 518, 243.00 per annum plus

Minimum Requirements:

Matric

Bachelor of Accounting Science in Internal Auditing/ National Diploma:

Internal Auditing or relevant qualification majoring with Auditing at NQF Level 6.

At least 4 - 5 years relevant experience in auditing Valid Registration with the relevant professional body. Valid Driver’s License

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Coordinates and supervise auditing assignments conducted, to evaluate

adequacy and effectiveness of risk management, control and governance

Review system description, walkthrough tests and flow chart to ensure that

all the focus areas of the audit are covered and issue coaching notes to

internal auditors.

Review risk and control matrix to ensure that risks associated with

objectives of the operations/audit are identified and evaluated in terms of

likelihood and impact and controls designed to mitigate the identified risks

by management are adequate.

Review audit procedures to ensure that they are technically correct and no

process has been left out.

Reviewing working papers compiled during audits, determining accuracy,

completeness and compliance in terms of internal audit standards.

Reviewing financial statements to provide credibility to the financial affairs

of the Municipality through analyzing financial statements to ascertain

compliance with relevant legislative prescripts and standards encompassed

in the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA).

Review audit file by ensuring that all required documents are on file and

audit evidence is cross referenced to the relevant findings of the report.

Communicating the findings and recommendations of the draft audit report

verbally with the auditee to reach consensus and clarity.

Monitor and reviewing follow-up audit working papers prepared by

subordinates.

RE-ADVERTISEMENT PRACTITIONER: OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

Task Grade 11: Salary Scale: R300, 361.00 – R389, 884.00 per annum plus benefits]

Requirements: Matric

National Diploma/ B degree in Safety Management or Occupational Health & Safety or relevant qualification majoring with occupational health & safety at NQF level 6.

At least 3 - 5 years relevant experience in occupational health and safety. Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety management (SAMTRAC) will

be an added advantage Valid Driver’s License

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Implement Occupational Health and Safety operational plans, programs and

standards for implementation.

Inspecting work sites, identify potential hazards and conducting observations

as per legislations and regulations. Coordinate cases of Injuries on duties and exposure of employees to

Occupational diseases/illness and comply with all statutory requirements

including compiling reports with recommendations Analysing and reviewing reports of injuries, property damage, occupational

diseases and public liability incidents. Co-ordinating emergency planning and evacuation of Municipal Buildings and

work areas.

Disseminates information on outcomes, current developments, problems and constraints and provide educational material on workplace safety.

Coordinate and facilitate implementation of medical assessments and vaccination programmes

National Diploma: Public Relations or Bachelor’s Degree: Applied Communication/ Communication Science or relevant qualification at

NQF level 6.

At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in the communication field

A valid drivers’ license

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Co-ordinate internal and external communication campaigns as and

when required.

Conduct internal and external environmental scanning, propose communication interventions accordingly.

Coordinate the development and implementation of the communications and marketing strategy.

Coordinate, improve and maintain media relations.

Coordinate marketing and events on behalf of municipal initiatives

Monitoring and maintenance of social network sites in line with the applicable policy.

Coordinating the drafting of municipal publications for approval and

distribution thereof throughout the district.

Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Social Science majoring in Public Administration / Community Development or relevant qualification at NQF Level 06.

At least 3 – 5 years relevant experience in special programmes

Valid Driver’s License

Key Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to) Initiate and maintain intersectoral coordination mechanisms for the sectors of

designated groups.

Coordinate and support the special programmes and projects focusing on

mainstreaming of designated groups programmes.

Implement and monitor the progress of programme initiatives and

consolidation of information on the programme related to designated groups.

Engaging the use of service providers, Provincial and National bodies for the

facilitation of special programmes mainstreaming initiatives.

Support and interact with all structures/forums/ committees that deal with

special programmes initiatives.

Facilitate and participate in emergency and special campaigns related

to designated groups.

Conduct community surveys to determine social development and

implementation of programmes/projects with specific focus to designated

groups.

Establish formal links with departments/ centres/organisations of designated

groups within the Municipality through establishment of database of structures

of designated groups and having continuous engagements with those

structures.

TRUCK & WATER CART DRIVER x 4

At least 12 – 18 months relevant experience as a truck driver

Valid code EC driver’s license with PrDP

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

Operate municipal trucks in a safe and effective manner and perform daily

DATA CAPTURER – BANK & CASH [Task Grade 05: Salary Scale R117, 561.00-R152, 593.00 per annum

plus benefits]

Minimum requirements: • Matric with Mathematics

• At least 12- 18 months relevant experience in financial environment.

• Proof of Computer Literacy

• Proof of residence with an original stamp and signature of respective Ward Councilor or Headman.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Receiving financial documentation and applying specific procedures and system tools to import data from various applications and programs.

• Receive, assess and maintain relevant financial payment documentation.

• Referencing source document, safeguard and retrieve supporting payment

documents.

• Process payments onto electronic transfer system and print out cheques.

• Follow up on the rejected electronic transfers.

• Attend to relevant queries, requests and complaints pertaining to the function.
