GARDENS ILLUSTRATEDNOVEMBER 2010 ISSUE One of Exterior Architecture'sgarden designs is the subject ofa 6 page feature in the Novemberissue of Gardens Illustratedmagazine. Architect Richard Holden,of Holden Harper Architects, commissioned EA to design a series of peaceful outside spacesthat complemented the architectureof his house in Wimbledon. Byworking with, and adding to, alreadyplanted trees & hedges the team atEA created a stunning outside spacewith a pond 'room', pavilion, courtyard space and raised bed. With photographs by award winningphotographer Marianne Majerusand words by gardening expertMatthew Wilson the feature iswell worth a look.

THE SERPENTINE GALLERY

Photographed by EA's director,Sam Martin (and now chiefin-house photographer) theSerpentine Pavilion, designedby Jean Nouvel, and thesculpture exhibition 'Turn TheWorld Upside Down' by AnishKapoor, both look particularlybeautiful in the the earlyAutumn sunshine. The Pavilion'svibrant colour, angular formand relationship with the sitewas stunning. However theAnish Kapoor exhibition didn'treally hit the mark. Theinteraction between observersand the reflective pieces workedwell but it was concluded thatthey didn't really sit as well inthe landscape as some of hisprevious works. The sculpturesare on display until March 2011
