DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT
The Absa Flexi Account is a basic transactional account that meets your daily banking requirements.
Important for new customers only:
In order to apply for an Absa Flexi Account, please bring the following documents along:
Your green bar-coded ID document
The original document or a certified copy of one of the following documents verifying your residentialaddress, not older than three (3) months, e.g. utility bill, lease or rent agreement, Telkom statement.
Original document or certified copy of a South African Revenue Services document reflecting your personaldetails and income tax number (where issued).
WHAT ARE THE FEATURES OF THE PRODUCT?
A minimum opening balance of R50.00 is required.
It is a card-based account with 24-hour access to money.
Transaction charges may be minimised through use of alternative channels like ATM, telephone banking,cell phone banking and point of sale.
Higher pricing for over-the-counter branch transactions.
Monthly statements and interim statements are available on request, at a fee.
You can purchase goods and/or withdraw cash using your Debit Card at merchants/shops where theMaestro or Visa Electron logo is displayed.
Account may also be used for debit orders, stop orders, third party payments, third party cheques, etc.
Free funeral cover of R3000.00 as well as Free Value added services for clients between the ages of 18 and65, provided a minimum balance of R50.00 is maintained.

Qualifying customers will have access to Absa's ATM loans.
HOW DOES THE PRODUCT WORK?
1.1 Product Description
Personal Health Advisor is a healthcare service providing unlimited access to qualified nurses 24 hours a day.
1.2 Benefits to member:
Your Personal Health Advisor: can provide emergency medical advice and trauma counselling
will assess your symptoms and refer you to the most appropriate healthcare professional.
is knowledgeable on all aspects of healthcare and may suggest home care remedies with scheduled follow-up assessment calls, if required.
can explain medical terms, results of tests and provide information relating to any medication you may betaking.
provides counselling for chronic ailments and diseases, minimising the impact of these conditions on yourdaily life.
has access to one of the most widely used poison databases in South Africa.
provides telephonic trauma debriefing and may refer you to a trauma counsellor.
You also have access to a pre-recorded audio library, should you require information on a topic that you wouldrather not discuss with a nurse directly.

Europ Assistance SA has contracted the services of private doctors and has one of the largest GeneralPractitioner networks in South Africa, with a membership of approximately 2,800 doctors nationwide
Members may visit any of the Europ Assistance Halo Network contracted General Practitioners and will be able
to enjoy a discounted rate on the following:
Acute and chronic consultations
Acute medication – many doctors, particularly in rural areas provide acute medication as part of their serviceand the discounts will apply on both the consultation and medicine dispensed.
b. Discounted Dentistry Network
Members may visit any of the Europ Assistance SA 1,300 contracted Dentists where they will enjoy a discounted

c. Discounted Optometry Network
Our national footprint comprises 1,300 optometrists who provide the following benefits at a pre-negotiateddiscounted rate:

There are no limits to the number of consultations and the benefit is available to the member and their directfamily
Member must pay cash for the consultation upon arrival and provide positive identification
Doctors, Optometrists and Dentists charge a reduced fee which may vary from practice to practice
The service is available during office hours and bookings must be made via the Europ Assistance SA callcentre, where the best option i.e. nearest and most affordable solution is sourced for the member
The call centre agent will also make the appointment on behalf of the member
3. Missing Assist
3.1 Product Description
The first 48 hours is crucial in finding a missing person. The inconceivable event of a child or family member
going missing can happen in the blink of an eye:
Every 6hours a child goes missing in SA
On average 1700 children are reported missing every year
20% of children are never found
Gauteng and Western Cape has the highest abduction rate
In conjunction with the South African Police Service (SAPS), South African Centre for Missing and ExploitedChildren (SACMEC), media and other partners, People Search and Rescue Unit (PSARU) wants to ensure thatwith prompt reaction (the first 48 hours) they achieve the highest likelihood in finding loved ones with the leastpossible trauma experienced by the victim and family.

HOW YOU CAN TRANSACT WITH THE PRODUCT
Your Debit Card enables you to pay for your goods and draw cash at all merchants/shops displaying theMaestro/Visa Electron logo. Withdraw, deposit, transfer funds, pay your accounts, as well as obtain balancesand statements at ATM's and Absa Banking Halls. That means added convenience when filling up your car,buying groceries, etc.
Funds can be withdrawn from a deposit that has been paid into your account only once the bank has receivedthe value. ATM cash deposits take up to two, (2) to three (3) days however cheque deposits could vary
depending on the paying bank; usually after approximately 10 days. Should an account holder require immediateaccess to their cheque deposit, he/she can request a “special clearance” at a fee. Refer to the pricing brochurefor a list of all the fees attached to this product).
Your Absa Flexi Account is also your gateway to other services like debit/stop orders, internet, telephone,cellphone banking.
Any card that is not used by the customer for a period of 12 months will become dormant. The customer will thenneed to go to an Absa branch to lift the dormancy status and make a financial transaction for the account tobecome activated. If after three (3) years the customer has not used his/her account then the balance will bewritten off and transferred to Absa’s Unclaimed Funds. The customer remains entitled to the unclaimed fundsprovided the customer can provide the Bank with proof of identity and entitlement to the funds.

We understand that you may want to save some of your hard-earned cash. The Absa Money Builder account willallow you to save and earn interest from as little as R20.00 per month and there are no monthly admin fees. Thismeans the money you save is not eroded by monthly bank charges.

PRICING STRUCTURE
A monthly administration fee is charged per account. Transaction fees will be charged at the time that thetransaction is done.
