AMERICA CRAFT BEER WEEK AT ARICCIA May 13-19 is American Craft Beer Week, and Ariccia will be offering some great ways to celebrate in addition to the May Craft Beer Dinner. Monday-Wednesday, guests can enjoy $12 craft beer flights that will include a choice of four, six-ounce samples from five different breweries from 3-10 p.m. On May 16, live music by Ziggy Luis will be featured on the Ariccia patio from 5-7 p.m. as well as $3 craft beer pints.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS, BAKERS, DOWNTOWN MERCHANTS, AND VOLUNTEERS! The 2013 SummerNight Downtown Art Walk, hosted by the City of Auburn, Auburn Arts Association and Auburn Downtown Merchant Association, will be held Friday, June 14, from 6 – 9:30 p.m. in downtown Auburn. In the event of rain, SummerNight will be held on Saturday, June 15. SummerNight is a self-guided art walk featuring works in every medium; from photography to sculpture, to fine art to live music and even performance art. In addition to the arts festivities, culinary artists are encouraged to display their talents through pie. The SummerNight committee is accepting applications for a pie bake-off.

Through the good will of sponsors and downtown merchants and the work of dedicated staff and volunteers, SummerNight is able to host established and emerging artists throughout the unique setting of downtown Auburn. GRANADE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS TO PRESENT OVERVIEW OF SHAREPOINT Granade Technology Solutions will present an overview of SharePoint on May 16 at the Auburn Chamber. BELK INVITES CUSTOMERS TO 125TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION Belk is celebrating 125 years of excellence. AUBURN UNIVERSITY CLUB TO OFFER JUNIOR GOLF CLINICS Auburn University Club will offer summer golf clinics for boys and girls ages 6-14. The clinics are taught by Ricky Smallridge, former Auburn University All-American/PGA Tour pro and current AUC director of membership, and Tyler Andrews, current AUC club pro and director of golf operations.

3RD ANNUAL ANTI-BULLYING SUMMIT, HOSTED BY AUBURN UNIVERSITY (JULY 10-12, 2013) Registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Anti-Bullying Summit, hosted by Auburn University’s Truman Pierce Institute and Office of Professional and Continuing Education. The program, which will be held in Mobile on July 10-12, 2013, is open to teachers, administrators, community leaders, mental health workers, or anyone interested in learning more about preventing bullying in schools and communities. The conference will feature keynote speakers, workshops and concurrent sessions presented by national presenters working in the field of bullying prevention. Topics include: Proactive and systematic approaches to prevent bullying; legal issues of bullying; addressing bullying through teacher preparation and mentoring programs; and utilizing community partners to raise awareness and prevent bullying. BLUEGRASS ON THE PLAINS FESTIVAL HOSTED BY UNIVERSITY STATION RV RESORT Bluegrass on the Plains, hosted by University Station RV Resort, is scheduled for May 29-June 2, 2013. The festival will be held on Wednesday from 6-10:45 p.m., Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m.-12:20 p.m. On Friday and Saturday free workshops will be held from 10-11 a.m. and an arts & crafts show will be held from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
