Increases were reported for Mexico (68,200 MT), Egypt (27,500 MT), unknown destinations (24,800 MT), the United Kingdom (15,000 MT), Taiwan (12,000 MT), and the Philippines (9,300 MT). Reductions were reported for Panama (400 MT), Trinidad (300 MT), and Jamaica (100 MT). Net sales of 6,900 MT for 2016/2017 were for Nicaragua (5,000 MT) and Canada (1,900 MT). Exports of 216,900 MT were primarily to Mexico (72,100 MT), the Philippines (48,400 MT), Ecuador (31,200 MT), the Dominican Republic (22,100 MT), and Canada (16,400 MT). Exports of 406,800 pieces were down 4 percent from the previous week, but up 1 percent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 404,000 pieces were primarily to China (262,000 pieces), South Korea (71,600 pieces), Mexico (25,600 pieces), Taiwan (20,800 pieces), and Thailand (6,800 pieces). Net sales of 78,800 wet blues for 2015 were down 72 percent from the previous week and 53 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Mexico (21,300 grain splits and 6,000 unsplit), China (15,300 grain splits and 2,000 unsplit), Italy (10,300 grain splits and 200 unsplit), Japan (7,600 grain splits), and the Dominican Republic (6,800 unsplit).
