Sealed Bids for the 2014-2015 REGULATOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT will be received at the Law-renceville Gas Department, 18 South Clayton Street, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046, until 10:00 A.M. October 6, 2014. The project consists of replacing approx-imately 15,000 residential and small commercial regu-lators on 400 series meter sets and smaller. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Gas Depart-ment. No bid may be with-drawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids.

Work to Be Done: The work to be performed by the General Contractor consists of, but is not limited to the replacement of approxi-mately: 15,000 regulators on residential and small com-mercial meter sets or chang-ing out the orifice. Scope of work also includes checking for leaks after replacement/repairs, painting the meter station, and re-establishing service and lighting pilots.

Specifications and Contract Documents: Specifications and Contract Documents will be on file at the City of Lawrenceville City Hall, Law-renceville, GA, on Septem-ber 5, 2014. Advertisement of this project will start on September 5, 2014, in the Gwinnett Daily Post. Cop-ies of the Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained from the Gas De-partment located at 18 South Clayton Street, Phone (770) 277-7406. Pre-Bid Meeting: A pre-bid meeting will be held on Sep-tember 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Lawrenceville Gas Department located at 18 South Clayton Street.

Bid Bond: A Bid Bond shall be required and shall be sub-mitted with the bid proposal. The Bid Bond shall be in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The Sure-ty of the Bid Bond shall be a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Georgia, shall be listed in the Department of the Treasury Circular 570, and shall have an underwriting limitation in excess of 100% of the bid amount. Checks of any type shall not be acceptable as a Bid Bond.
