If you want to experience the most intense Songkran festivities you should move to Khao San road. Though, this is a long-familiar place for the foreigners that are easily found among the numerous of Thais. Khao San road and the surrounding streets are filled up with large number of people from all ages (generally youth) who with a bully smile wets you with water and blots chalk everywhere your face. It’s an entirely crazy and a full of fun place. Just get a water gun from the market, preferably a big one, blast everyone who blasts at you, fill again it for just 10 baht, and have fun again by shooting others. Don’t forget that everything gets wet so wrap up your valuable items like cell phone, money, camera and passport with a plastic carry-bag, beforehand.
