JOIN OUR SUMMER SCHOOL IN EXPLORATION

SEISMOLOGY IN THE ITALIAN APENNINES.

IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS FOR THE ENERGY INDUSTRY

This school is designed to give to

students in Geology or Geophysics

hands-on experience at acquiring

and processing high-resolution

seismic reflection & refraction data.

The School is organized by the

National Institute of Geophysics &

Volcanology (INGV) and by AMRA

(Analysis and Monitoring of

Environmental Risk) and it will be

held at the INGV section in

Grottaminarda (Avellino, Italy).

During the seven-day school, we

will first introduce the principles of

data acquisition and processing;

then participants will be engaged in

a two-day data acquisition in the

field using a high-resolution

vibroseis and arrays of 168

geophones; after, the students will

return to the INGV campus where

they will process and interpret the

data. Field camp ends with a formal

presentation of the results.
