Specialist Careers The Specialist Careers Advisor service provides careers information, advice and guidance to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We assist and support education providers, pupils and their families. Our key aim is working in partnership to support young people to progress, prosper and maximise their full potential in preparation for adult life.

Staff Absence Our “in-house” not-for profit insurance scheme offers schools and academies a range of absence cover options for teaching and non-teaching staff. This includes cover for sickness, maternity, paternity, adoption, and certain public duties absences for teaching and non-teaching staff.

The Scheme operates on a cooperative basis and is overseen by the Staff Absence Board (made up of representatives from the schools and academies we support) and is administered by North Yorkshire County Council on behalf of participating schools and academies.

Tree and Woodland Service

Developed especially for academies, our Tree and Woodland Service has extensive experience and knowledge in ensuring trees are managed in the best way possible whilst helping our customers fulfil their duty of care obligations.
