New for summer 2015, City Football Schools and Experience English will be delivering a series of exciting and innovative programmes for 9 - 17 year olds who want to fully immerse themselves in the world of football through intensive on-pitch training and language classes designed to improve communication in a football context.

The 2-week programme will give you the opportunity to train like a Manchester City player at the world-class City Football Academy facility, the brand new training ground for the Club’s First Team and Academy players, where you will be inspired to play, develop and learn in a truly authentic football environment.

English classes and football coaching will be aligned, taking the form of interactive activities and

lessons designed to reflect the day-to-day life of a professional football player. You will improve your speaking, reading, writing and listening skills through exciting and engaging educational activities, such as media and press conference training, match analysis, nutrition, strength and conditioning and more.

Develop football and language skills in a positive setting


Each day starts with breakfast followed by a short transfer by private coach to the City Football Academy facility.Once on site, you will spend the whole day at the facility, including lunch, taking part in a number of activities which will develop both your football skills and English language skills in a number of exciting, educational sessions.

At the end of each afternoon you will be transferred back to your accommodation for a chance to rest and prepare for the following day. After your evening meal, you will participate in a variety of activities with other Experience English students.

ACCOMMODATION

PASTORAL CARE

You will join students from Manchester Academy of English’s Young Learner programme for evening activities and Saturday excursions, giving you the chance to socialise with others outside of your course.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Our support and expertise goes beyond your time in class or on the pitch. We have four dedicated teams to ensure your safety and well-being at all times, whether in the classroom, while training, during social activities or at the accommodation. We provide 24 hour supervision, with high staff to student ratios, in accordance with national guidelines for junior vacation courses. All staff are part of a dedicated Young Learner team.

You will receive pastoral care from the accommodation manager to ensure you are happy in your residence.

As a member of the special interest group Young Learners English UK, Experience English actively works to raise the standards of all junior vacation courses in the UK.
