igital Jewels Ltd over the years has had the opportunity to add distinctive value to organizations in African countries outside Nigeria such as Ghana, DSierra Lone, The Gambia, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, and Benin Republic through the conduct of our specialized services aimed at institutionalizing
Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) standards. However in the course of Q3 2015, the firm took a bold step to expand her frontier by opening up a
branch in Ghana in the East Legon area of Accra.
The 3rd quarter saw the firm leading Mainone- a leading provider of innovative telecom services and network solutions for businesses in West Africa to receive two certifications, the ISO 27001, for information security management systems (2013 version) as well as the Payment Cards Industry Data Security Standards (PCIDSS) thus affirming its compliance with global best practices. Digital Jewels Ltd was privileged to have provided end to end support for the organization.
Also in the course of the quarter, the ISO27001 certification was successfully achieved for one of the leading banks known for its unrivalled customer service (ISO22301 is still in progress and should be achieved in the course of Q4). Other successful interventions successfully completed include: ISMS scope extension completed for the largest Pan African Bank, COBIT 5 for a member of the Standard Bank Group and COBIT 5 for a refreshingly different bank in Ghana.

Applications for the 2015 DJL Scholarship began in December 2014 and closed within the quarter. In its second season, the DJL scholarship, a scheme under the DJ Cares initiative was established to recognize full-time indigent
students enrolled in Nigerian Universities studying computer science/Engineering courses or other directly related courses. Two categories of students are usually awarded. The Game Changer- a student who has achieved positive academic records and the Game Reformer- a student who has shown and sustained significant improvement in his/her academic records, attitude and outlook. The beneficiaries of the 2013/2014 scholarship award are from University of Ilorin, FUTO and LAUTECH. After an intense screening process for the award of the DJL 2015 Scholarship scheme, six candidates made it to the final stage of which 5 would emerge as beneficiaries of a yearly grant to aid their academic pursuits. The grants would be awarded in the course of Q4.
