2 / EXPANDING HORIZONS FOR THE EARLY YEARS 2008 TORONTO APRIL 2008

Welcome to the second edition of Expanding Horizons for the Early Years! Together, the Steering Committee of IMP and its Conference Planning Committee have created a wonderful opportunity for learning. Our keynote speakers are pre-eminent in

the fi eld with stimulating and provocative topics. There is a wonderful array of workshops. You probably wish you could be in two or three places at one time to capture all the available information. Fortunately, your conference kit will contain a CD of many of the workshop materials so that you will get some information even from sessions that you cannot attend.

We are fortunate to host delegates from across Canada and the world, and we encourage you to take this opportunity to network and share ideas with colleagues from a multitude of disciplines. Please visit the Exhibits and Poster Presentations throughout the day on Friday, and plan to visit and chat at the end of day reception on Friday evening.

The conference location, the Westin Harbour Castle, is a wonderful venue with fi rst class facilities for a conference such as ours. With a spectacular view of the Toronto waterfront, and a short distance to many fascinating Toronto attractions including Toronto Island, Air Canada and Rogers Centres, Harbourfront Centre for the performing arts, the Hockey Hall of Fame, numerous theatres and a plethora of fi ne restaurants, we’re confi dent that you will enjoy these few days in Toronto.

Best wishes for an enriching and enjoyable experience.
