With air force inventories shrinking and aircraft types being streamlined, it’s often necessary to go off the

beaten track to shoot something a little different, and indeed full of colour.

This Exotic Wings programme offers just that, with the incredible schemes seen on exotic types and in the seldom-visited nation of Bangladesh, followed by the military might of Qatar on show. Both of these are taking place during national flypast celebrations.

These visits, the result of long-invested research and local contacts, will see you shooting the preparations for the Bangladesh AF participants at the staging base, and then fly to Qatar to witness the military’s flypast to come away with super rare photographic results.

Exotic Wings No7: Bangladesh & Qatar

EWG1: Visit specific locations to shoot the Bangladesh AF flypast participants operating and rehearsing for the national flypast.

EWG2: Shoot the Qatar AF participants during the national flypast over a city bay.

EWG3: Photography of rare air forces and exotic types.

The Provisional Programme & Itinerary...

This is a visit outside fully operational military bases and every aspect is subject to security, operational, technical or weather issues. As such, COAP and IAAT are not responsible for cancellation at any stage or non-flying activity. Safety and Insurance is your own responsibility and risk. We are not guests of the miltiary, and will be using the public access areas during the flight activity. Please note that access around the operational areas of the airbase is physically demanding and unfortunately anyone using a wheelchair, walking sticks or crutches may not be suitable for this EW operation. It will be in all weathers, very intense and physically demanding for long hours.

COAP EXOTIC WINGS What is Exotic Wings?

COAP's Exotic Wings operations are not traditional Assignments. They involve travel to all corners of the globe, off the beaten track. They offer a chance to travel with pro aviation shooters, with in-country experience and local contacts, which otherwise may be too daunting or difficult to achieve. Not for the faint-hearted, you never know what you are going to get on the adventure, but if you do come away with results they will surely be of the highest and rarest quality. Ideal for photographers that want something different and love the thrill of the chase.
