PACE ART SPRING 2012 EXHIBITION + LECTURE SERIES Linda Herritt 31 JANUARY 07 FEBRUARY Clifford Owens Linda Herritt's installations and drawings present warped fields of text based on divergent representations of the landscape. In this exhibition,she combines digitally generated geological surveys with references to traditional Chinese painting. Performance artist Clifford Owens' first solo museum show is currently on view at PS1. He has exhibited and lectured internationally since graduating from Rutgers University. He was born in Baltimore in 1971, currently lives in Queens, NY, and is represented by On Stellar Rays Gallery. Five artists combine performance in nature captured on video, often to hilarious effect! Featuring 5 international artists: Jacob Dahlgren (Sweden),The Icelandic Love Corporation (Iceland) Steven Yazzie (Arizona), Shana Moulton (New York), and Terrence Houle (Canada). Organized by Jillian McDonald Jane Diaz , jewelry designer whose interests led her from New York to Nepal, where traditional metalworking techniques inspired her original designs. Eric Haze graffitti artist/designer, whose logos for EPMD, Tommy Boy Records, Beastie Boy album cover and others credits have made him legendary. Bob Holmes, CEO of Sudden Industries, creates Internet marketing for Nickelodeon and many other music, film, and TV companies. Careers in the Arts Panel : Design Great Outdoors Keynote Speaker : February 07, 6-7p Location: CIVIC E307 Codings Curated by Nick Montfort (MIT), shows the computer as an aesthetic, programmed device that computes on characters. The works in the show continue to divert the traditions of concrete poetry and short-form recreational programming. They avoid elaborate multimedia combinations and the use of network resources. Linda Herritt's installations and drawings present warped fields of text based on divergent representations of the landscape. In this exhibition,she combines digitally generated geological surveys with references to traditional Chinese painting.
