Executive Biography

Tanya J. Ross Vice President and General Auditor Tanya J. Ross is vice president and general auditor. She is responsible for providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services to management and the board of directors related to the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes. Ross joined Dominion Energy in 2004 as a senior tax accountant. She was promoted to supervisor–DRS Financial & Business Services in 2006 and became manager–DRS Financial & Business Services in 2008. She was named manager–Customer Billing, Planning and Analysis in 2011 and director–Customer Revenue Management in 2013. She assumed her current post Jan. 1, 2018. Prior to joining Dominion Energy, Ross worked as a tax manager for KPMG LLP and as a senior tax associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Richmond. Ross is a certified public accountant and received her bachelor’s degree in commerce with an accounting concentration from the University of Virginia. She serves on the boards of the Commonwealth Public Broadcasting Corp. and the Virginia Foundation for Public Media.
