show off• Out of tune with old ethics and values-Formal teaching on values and psychology• Applied sciences being taught in Engg colleges are difficult to comprehend –Extra help• Engg drawing is a difficult subject because they lack visualisation-Dev Imaginative skill• Very low in Soft Skills-Formal trg from Sem 1• Need polishing of personality as environment has corroded –Formal Personality Dev classes in each Sem• Lacks Willing Participation in Trg Prog –Motivate• Lack both Hard Skill and Soft Skill-Effort to dev the same

Corrective Measures from for Students

• Motivate for willing participation• Generate Reading Habit• Develop communication skills by Compulsory English paper reading,centralised assembly at

least 3 days a week with individual and faculty lectures, News writing, Individual lecture, Group discussion, Compulsory attendance of seminars, ,Book Review,Extra curricular activities etc

• Faculty guidance after classes• Faculty to act as Parental guide rather than bully• Good Lib• Sports facilities• Internship every summer/Winter/term break• Compulsory NCC/NSS• Community voluntary service like tree plantation• Personality Dev capsule• Soft Skill Capsules• Motivational interaction with well placed personalities• Project Works• Communicate in English with friends and faculty

Characteristics of Faculty

• Teaching was and is last option• Lack Domain Knowledge• Not prepared to update themselves through self study /net. Google Guru is an asset exploit

them• Biased and many times unfair • Vindictive• Crib of low pay and allowances• Crib of lack of facilities• 40 hrs of Faculty per week never utilized • Mundane class teaching and time wasters• Not prepared to make their material public to fellow Faculty or to students• Not innovative in teaching and Lab planning• Heart is missing from noble job of teaching• Behaviour and personality a role model is never seen• Have tendency to crib with students leading to degradation of students personality as well• Improperly attired• Office Politics rampant and manifest indirectly through union • Words and action never match

Corrective measures

• Competent ,Capable and Committed Faculty• Develop domain knowledge through self study/Net/Lib• Become well read in other discipline as well as it is time for multi discilplinay world• Generate and have sufficient Project Directives• Keep a track of resources required otherwise innovate• Innovate Lab practices by pooling and ensuring that it is not crowded• Utilse local resources to give practical exposure like Garages and electronic repair shops• Become member of Professional bodies like IEs ,IETE,CSI etc• Try and have student chapters• Never be vindictive .Students are like our children they will make mistake. Correct them• DISCIPLE is Vital. Can not afford to be late• Remain suitably attired• I even recommend uniform dress• Stop cribbing if you want more money raise your level you will get it here or some where else• Your Org req fruitful 40 hrs per week as Faculty and 40 hrs of presence• Share resources it will grow• Act as role model• Avoid politics it is not your cup of tea• Make your classes interesting

Students are your Brand Ambassador .Nurture and exploit for health of Org
