What is a newspaper?A newspaper is a publication that is printed and distributed, usually daily or weekly, and contains local news, Letters to the editor, entertainment, and classified ads.

• Top priority articles are near the front (1-2 pages).

• These are typically of high interest to your entire audience of readers (e.g., town news such as a new park or community center).

• Long front-page articles can be continued on an inside page to provide room for other headline news.

• Advertisements in a newspaper are typically short.

• Any person can pay to try and sell their items.• People can look for a job in this section.

• For sale-when a person had an item to sell.• Wanted- When people need a specific item

they can ask if anyone has one to sell.• Services- when a person is advertising the

work they do. Example a painter, plumber, babysitter.

• Job opening-when a business has a job available. When a family needs a babysitter.
