Take Character level and PP and add points for character up to determine how many points that player has to spend when converting the RPG character to Tactics. From there the player may start spending those points on increasing the abilities of a single unit used to represent his character over the standard unit. For RPG gamers it is required for the player to write down the way the points are spent so that he cannot spend them differently each time he plays. Any number of points may be saved in order for the pilot to purchase more expensive abilities for his pilot. Only at levels 3, 6, 10, and 14 may a player use points to purchase a major ability. Major abilities are abilities that cost 5 or more points.

Total up values from A and B. So a 4th level character with a PP of 18 would get 6 points for his character level and 3 more for the PP for a total of 9.

Note: If you don’t have an RPG Character roll 3D6. If you roll a 16 or higher roll another die and add that to the results.

Typical Characters will have a PP or 15-16. Better Characters 17-18 and Elites 19+.

Basic Pilots/Units

Un-Augmented are Characters/Players that are not in any sort of mecha that has targeting and tracking systems and more that augment the abilities and awareness of the Character/Player. These are the typical base abilities for any unit in the game.

Pilots of Command Units like the VF-1J, Female Power Armor or Glaug must have at least a +1 to both GUN and PIL and +1 to their LDR. Characters must have at least +2 PIL and +1 GUN and +1 LDR in order to pilot a VF-1S. That is because these units are designed for and assigned to some of the most Elite of pilots.

9. Pilot TypeA player must also select or nominate the type of pilot that they have just like they would choose an OCC in the Roleplaying game. For the UEDF the options are: VF Pilot, Destroid Pilot, Fighter Pilot, or Commander/Military Specialist. For the Zentraedi the options are Battlepod Pilot, Power Armor Pilot, or Fighter Pilot, or High Lord.

Any player using a mecha or vehicle not in his class will suffer a -1 to their Piloting ability during the duration of the game. Commanders and High Lords suffer a penalty of -1 Piloting AND Gunnery when Piloting any Mecha

unit because they are not specifically trained in their use.

OCC ClassesUEDF Zentraedi

Commander/Specialist High Lord

MechaUnless otherwise restricted the player may use any mecha

purchased as part of a squadron, squad, or special card for his player character as long as the pilot type restrictions are met and

the unit does not violate any other of the character's abilities.
