3. FIRE FIGHTING:

3A.) TOTAL WATER DEMAND: ADDITIONAL FLOOR AREA = 2206 Ft² HAZARD CLASSIFICATION = ORDINARY HAZARD (due to additional floor only) Note : Area of Operation (AOP) = 2206 ft² Density (DD) = .15 gpm/ft² Overall Factor (OVF) = 1.1 The sprinkler water demand = AOP X DD X OVF = 2206 x .15 x 1.1 = 365 gpm From Table 11.2.3.1.1, for a ordinary hazard, the HSD (Combined) = 250 GPM. Thus, TOTAL WATER DEMAND = 365 + 250 GPM = 615 GPM TOTAL WATER DEMAND IN 60 MINUTES = 615 x 60 min = 36900 Gallons. 3B.) REFERENCE ATTACHMENT:
