Analysis of Types of Regions:

All closures for the month of December increased by 4.3% compared to the month of November.

Primary -36.2% Increase from 69 to 44 items.

Cat I -1.8% Increase from 110 to 108 items.

Cat II -50.0% Decrease from 22 to 11 items.

Cat III 19.4% Decrease from 310 to 370 items.

Of the closures, 8% were submitted as new proposals and 20% of closures were submitted together with the initial proposals. The remainder were proposals that were submitted after the initial proposal.

Analysis of Turnaround Time:

Overall, the turnaround time for the month of December has decreased by 1.7%.

Analysis of Proposals and Closures

For the period of December 2012, the average turnaround time was 16.1 days with a total of 533 items being closed in 41 regions. The number of propsals is up by 19.4% since November. The number of closures had increased by 4.3% since November. The total turnaround time for the month of December has decreased by 1.7% compared to November.

Definitions

Present Information:

1. Individual folders are inside a record for each open region requested.

2. Each open region requested is its own item inside the folder.

Performance:

1. All new requested proposals for the month that were closed are called Initial

Proposals (Primary).

2. CAT I is defined as all proposals that were requested at the same time as the

initial proposal and are either approved on the same day as the initial or after

the initial approval.

3. CAT II is defined as all proposals that were requested after the initial proposal

but prior to approval of the initial proposal.

4. CAT III is defined as all proposals that were requested subsequent to the

approval of the initial proposal.
