SpecificationThe Bronze Age
Excellent alternative to anodised aluminium
Colour consistency can be controlled; one batch, use of automatic application and non-recycling of powder during
application
Substrate imperfections can be hidden avoiding need to source a high
grade of aluminium
On-site repair is possible through use of 2k polyurethane
Significant applied cost advantages can be realised
40 year guarantee available

Specification
Akzo Nobel Powder Coatings Ltd | Architecture 29
- Only one batch of powder should be used per colour for the entire project. Implication
=Up to 6 week lead time. Total m2 to be coated needs to be calculated.
- Application should be conducted using well-regulated automatic equipment for large
panels or lengths of extrusion which have a large visible area.
- A spray- to-waste application method is conducted, avoiding recycling of powder
material
- Components should be coated in the same orientation; in as few batch runs as
possible; and installed on site in order of application.
- Samples coated by approved applicator to set and agree upper & lower limits. One
would be used as the master standard for all the other contracted applicators to match
to.
