At Verve, it typically takes Dr. Nasser one to two hours to complete the procedure. A short-acting, conscious sedation, as well as local anesthetic, is used to ensure greater comfort during the procedure. After an hour of resting in the recovery room, you will be able to go home.

Any discomfort should disappear after the first few days, and you can expect to be fully healed in approximately six weeks. The surgical suture (stitching) used are absorbable, meaning they do not need to be removed. Most women return to work within two to four days after labiaplasty surgery, and regarding exercise, Dr. Nasser advises against strenuous exercise for at least four weeks following the procedure. Sexual activity can be resumed after 6 to 8 weeks.
