Arguments against mobile phones in school:

• 1. Students should concentrate on their schoolwork and forget their friends while in school.

• 2. Phones ringing in lessons will create problems and stop teachers and students from working.

• 3. Students might read and send text messages from under their desks and not listen to the lesson.

• 4. Mobile phone communication can make bad behaviour easier to organise.

• 5. Students may communicate answers to one another or receive outside help in examinations.

• 6. Schools that allow mobile phones report that many phones are lost or stolen, causing a lot of trouble for the school office and the Discipline Committee.
