With exposed ceilings, reclaimed timber flooring & teal pendant lighting, the restaurant exudes industrial sophistication. Statement chandeliers funnel light from above whilst comfy low-slung chairs are ideal for lingering & lounging. Bedecked with intimate circular booths, long sharing benches & low-level tables, guests have an eagle-eyed view into the busy kitchen whilst the adaptable monochrome deli seamlessly transforms from a morning pastry-lined grab & go area to a dedicated mixology station from Midday.

FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY Opulently appointed with vintage, one-of-a-kind pieces, The Happenstance is regularly used for photoshoots & filming as an elegant scene-stealing setting. With it’s variety of individual spaces and central location, it’s an idea location for filming & photography in the heart of the City.

EVENTSElegant & charming, a number of areas at The Happenstance are bookable for events – from small groups of friends to big business functions. From an opulent champagne reception to a celebratory birthday cake or treasure chest filled with boutique beers, every package is served with a delightful twist.

Descend downstairs to The Curious Treasury, a glamorous private dining room offering flexibility for seated dinners of up to 50 guests & standing drinks receptions for 70. All parquet panelled walls & styled with an Anglepoise light, the space comes with a 1950’s-style kitchen offering that home-from-home experience, exuding domestic glamour & doubling up as a private bar. A pair of golden mosaic-tiled vaults can also be booked for up to eight people each for smaller parties & intimate occasions.

Organise a standing drinks reception or networking evening with exclusive hire of the whole venue for 500 people or a fully-seated event for 230.
