A multi purpose machine, able to mix in the same space and time a professional or institutional meeting with a show, a game, and food enjoyment.

Ambienteparco is the place of a friendly dialogue between institutions, companies and citizens. A cute and relaxing place, well maintained and at the human scale, where politicians, scientists and entrepreneurs may meet citizens in an informal way and far from official “palaces”.

The park is the recharge of town.

how to benefit from the parkThe AmbienteParco science center is born on the municipal grant of a renewed urban area that used to be the Stazione Regia di Piscicultura, a research center on fishery, back in the XIX century that dealt with freshwater fishes of northern Italy. The center declined trough the 1980’s until it has been closed and abandoned for twenty years. It has then been renovated from 2002 with the aim of creating a recreational/cultural centre. Renovations included the portion of reinassance the city walls. The aquarium is the only example of an artificial lake in a town center, enriched with the below water level tunnel for the fishes vision.

Given the complexity of the site, a collaboration of the local natural science museum and of the Milan Aquarius for the needed competence on the typical lake ecosystem creation, composed of fishes and algae selection, the design of the water treatment system. The overall expense has been in the range of 5 millions euros.

The aim has been to create a “water park” that kept the memories of the old “ittiogentico” and “Regia Stazione di piscicoltura” memories. The result is a container of history and new hi tech functions that preserves the outside envelope historical value according according to art conservation authorities prescriptions.The waterpark has been named to ASM and Gianni Panella, a former major of Brescia

OUR RECENT PAST.

APRIL 2009The Brescia municipality publishes a competition for the grant of the waterpark area. The engineering firm GMprogetti (later AmbienteParco srl) is awarded the grant for 18 years with its project on Susteinability education. An educational approach that starting from natural phenomena focuses attention on behaviours and technologies that help us to reach the goal of saving water, raw materials, energy and generate new energy through renewables.

OCTOBER 2009The grant act between Comune di Brescia and GM Progetti (now AmbienteParco) is signed.

DECEMBER 2009The area is officially given to the company, first activities start.

LIGHT ME LESS.

We begun with the partecipation to the radio program Caterpillar’s M’illumino di meno (light me less) mob on energy saving. In 2010 we organized an info day on lighting innovation of energy efficient lightbulbs, with the free distribution of efficient lightbulbs in cooperation with a2a.

Swithc on the light and switch on the flag colours: with the M’illumino di meno mob participation, a special edition for the 150 years of Italy’s independence. Meetings for designers, architects engineers, electricians and citizens to know and touch the most innovative lighting solutions dedicated to energy saving and comfort.A spectacular Ambienteparco dressed in green, red and white light hosted the event.

May, 6th 7th 8th, 2010 - June, 8th, 2012ELECTRIC MOBILITY FESTIVAL.

A pioneer festival in Italy dedicated to electric mobility, made during the the international event Mille Miglia race, hosted some of the players of this new technology and the exposition of several models such and the Tesla, Estrima Biro, Movitron, Oxygen, Citroen Saxo, AlfaRomeo Mito with SKChemical electrical set. Cars available for a test drive, see and touch.The e-moving project starting ceremony, first electric mobility pilot test made by the far-sighted collaboration of a2a and Renault that show once again the innovative face of Brescia and Milan, cities engaged more than others in the research of innovative solution for lowering their environmental impact.During the festival days the audience has bee wider than expected. Familiea, children, youth, adults and elderly composed a mixed audience representing the social classes lived the park with a true discovery spirit, curiosity and enjoyment.The festival saw a second edition in 2011 during the European Sustainable Mobility Week and in 2012 with the passage of the Electric Marathon.

First event in Brescia on PV. Two open days for the public, operators, schools to discover why and how the energy future of our homes and cities will be sun powered.Meetings, exhibitions, events with the protagonists of PV world, to understand better installation, technology, incentives.

Speakers included Stefano Saglia, former vice minister of economy development, Paola Vilardi, responsible for ecology in local government, Marco Fasser of the monument protection agency, Benno Albrecht of the Venice university of architecture, and many more.

SEMPLICE E COMPLESSO.

Complex laws of physics made simple trough intuitive experiments. This is the essence of the Semplice e Complesso (simple and complex) exhibition, designed and produced by the national council of research. And temporarly hosted at ambienteparco.An engaging journey trough interactive experiments, a collection of windows opened on three worlds: geometry, matter and motion.This exhibition has been previously hosted by the Milan Museum of science and technology, the Italian Republic president’s house in castelporziano, where the president himself enjoyed it.

In May 2008 it has been awarded the Best Exhibition prize at Shanghai Science and Technology Festival, with as many as 70.000 visitors in 8 days.

Ambienteparco presents the scientific exhibition agora: science and math in Archimede’s age, designed and produced by national council of research. A journey through the Mediterranean and the history of western philosophy to discover, step after step, where and when our philosophy, our science and our math were born.Theories and principles of math, astronomy studies, geometry theorems, early engineering inventions for civil and military purposes discovered encountering the men who made the history of our civilization and playing the same games and experiments they did.

This exhibition, shown first at International Science & Art Exhibition di Shanghai, then moved to Jing’An, Hong Kou e Min Hang in District of Shanghai, finally reaching Europe and AmbienteParco, Brescia.

NATUR.ACQUA. wATER EXHIBITION

PERMANENT INTERACTIVE EXHBITIONAmbienteparco conceived, designed and produced the water exhibition with the support of CETAMB - Università degli Studi di Brescia, A2A, COOPLombardia.

In the Natur.acqua building, underwater tunnes with large windows on the lake, this interactive exhibition on the resource water finds its perfect place.Aim and goal is to educate people on the importance of the precious resource water, and therefore the importance of saving it and respect it in our daily behavior.
