Event: Smokin’ Pineapple at Nurai Island

Detail: This year the GEM team decided to take the group to Nurai island off

Saadiyat island with a cool new theme Smokin’ Pineapple for their annual staff party.

The evening’s events included fire shows, dancers, a great band flown in from

Cyprus, Trio Frisson, two fantastic DJ’s, Flair bar shows and the burning of a large

pineapple structure on the beach. Guests were also treated to a fantastic BBQ dinner,

an array of cocktails and marshmallows to cook over the four open bonfires set up on

the beach.

Event: Year End Party – Alice in Wonderland

Detail: Once again GEM were appointed as the preferred events agency by a

global consultancy group and were briefed to conceptualise and execute a unique

theme for their annual Christmas event ‘that no-one in the Middle East had

experienced before.’

Over 400 guests were welcomed to enter into the Wonderland through a clockface

entranceway, to be greeted by an amazing ensemble of international performers,

artists and ‘Wonderland ‘ characters inspired by Alice in Wonderland such as the

Queen of Hearts, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum and the Mad Hatter.

Detail: Global Event Management were chosen to design, manage and produce the

4th Destination Management Company (DMC) awards night hosted at JA Jebel Ali

Resort.

Guests arrived on the red carpet with search lights beaming in the air and were greeted

by two large Oscar statues as well as a number of paparazzi photographers catching

the glamour of the evening. Guests were guided to the cocktail reception in the

beautifully lit courtyard of the resort’s convention centre before being seated at the

Oscar-themed decorated tables.

Detail: The management of the annual Brookfield Multiplex staff party was trusted to

Global Event Management in 2014.

The event for over 700 staff and management from the region was based on the 1920s

Event: Annual Foreign Direct Investment Forum - Sharjah

Detail: GEM EVENTS were appointed by the Financial Times in the UK, to run the Annual

Foreign Direct Investment Forum for the Sharjah government in September 2016. The event

involved foreign Direct Investors, representatives from Consulates and Embassies from all

over the world coming together to discuss the investment opportunities available to them in

Sharjah.

GEM were responsible for the organization of the 2-day event, including the production, set

design, lighting, sponsors stand design and build, furniture and floral arrangements, hostesses

and the gala dinner.

Event: Invest in Italy Roadshow

Detail: Global Event Management Group was contracted by the Italian Trade Agency to

organise and manage the Invest In Italy Global Roadshow at the St.Regis Hotel in Habtoor

City, Dubai, in November 2016. The pre-event organisation involved inviting potential investors

from around the UAE and the GCC region. The aim was to get 120 people to attend the event

and GEM had less than 3 weeks to do so.

Event: Middle East Banking Forum 2016

Detail: GEM were appointed to deal with all branding for the event, the

stage design concept and build, the conference booklets, the overall

production and event layout along with the floral and decorative

elements.

GEM helped to conduct interviews at the event and put together a small

video edit for the FT website. We also took control of all sponsors

requirements such as the stand design, furniture and AV elements.

The event saw an increased attendance from last year with over 400

guests attending the forum. The overall feedback was very positive with

all guests finding the event informative and particularly well organized.

Event: Conference 2016

Detail: Global Event Management Group were selected to organise the three-day

Annual Euribron Conference 2016 from 7th – 9th March at the Taj Hotel, Dubai.

Euribron is a network of independent insurance brokers originally founded in Europe

but now expanded to 25 company members located in 60 countries. The Euribron

Annual Conference brings together company members from various countries and

represents a major event for the network.

Detail: Global Event Management Group proudly designed

and managed the inauguration of McWane’s newest valve, fitting

and plumbing manufacturing plant in Abu Dhabi. The opening of

the US$28 million facility firmly establishes McWane’s regional

presence in the Middle East. McWane Inc. is one of the largest

Event: Team Building Event 2017

Detail: Global Event Management Group were given the task to create a fun and exciting day

for our clients at SAP. The aim was to have a great team building event and bring together

different departments of the company for a fun day out of the office.

The event was put together on a tight deadline, but still managed to impress all of the invitees

who were treated to a kayak orienteering experience, followed by a beautiful lunch along the

Eastern Mangroves in Abu Dhabi, a tour around the famous Formula1 circuit on Yas Island and

a competitive race in the go-karts at the KartZone. The day finished with dinner at the

Aquarium Restaurant on Yas Marina overlooking the beautiful yachts.

Event: Team Building Event 2017

Detail: GEM hosted a team building day to integrate the new employees into the company

much to the others entertainment. This created plenty of laughs and excitement amongst

employees as they tackled a series of obstacles from ping pong to balloon popping and

wrestling on a giant inflatable ring. With a number of teams competing against one another for

the gold medal, it was a tight race till the end. The fantastic outdoor facilities at the Ritz Hotel

provided the perfect setting for people to watch or participate in the games. With a huge group of

300 people looking to join in on all the fun antics, we had two facilitators on hand to make sure

all went smoothly. In all this was a great success and kick started the day on a high note!

indoor theme park, IMG Worlds of Adventure, with a fantastic Walk Amongst The

Detail: Global Event Management Group and GEM Entertainers are very

proud to have again been chosen to work with The Doha Souq Waqif

Spring Festival 2015.

The festival held from January 23 to February 6 enthralled the Souq

visitors with some of the most spectacular entertainment ever to visit the

region from all over the World.

The event brought together some of the most exciting and

Detail: Proctor & Gamble approached our sister company Premiere Hostess with a

challenge to sample 1.2 million cosmetic samples across KSA and the UAE.

The sampling campaign targeted female consumers and the team set out targeting women’s

salons, gyms, spas etc.

Event: Huggies Sampling Campaign

Detail: Huggies commissioned GEM Events to develop a winning sampling campaign for

Huggies new baby nappies.

In order to achieve this, we prepared various activities lined up such as Informative

Sessions, Pop-up Clinics, Workshops, Moms Group Get-togethers, and promote with

partnering / sponsoring companies like MumzWorld, Momsouq etc.

CONSUMER ENGAGEMENTS

Event: SAY YAS Summer Campaign

Detail: Global Event Management was contracted to assist with the running of

Yas Islands ‘SAY YAS’ 3 month summer campaign, located at Ferrari World, Yas

Waterworld and Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi.

GEM provided 12 ground staff who worked on rotation at each location every

day for the duration and their main job role was to explain the campaign

mechanics to customers at each of the venues. To enter the competition a guest

had to spend a minimum of 500 AED for 1x entry and any multiple of 500 AED

thereafter for more entries to enter the exciting competition. The prizes consisted of

3 Maserati cars, supplied by our client; Miral, the chance to win vouchers to spend at

Yas Mall up to 10,000 AED at a time and 1,000,000 AED on the final day of the

campaign to one lucky winner.
