James Henry, Ph.D. is a licensed audiologist with a doctorate in Behavioral Neuroscience. He is a United States Veterans Affairs (VA) Rehabilitation Research & Development (RR&D) Senior Research Career Scientist, employed at the National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research (NCRAR), VA Portland Health Care System in Portland, Oregon, USA. He is also a Research Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University. Most of his career has been devoted to tinnitus clinical research. His overall goals are to develop and validate clinical methodology for effectively helping individuals who are afflicted with bothersome tinnitus, and to increase accessibility to evidence-based tinnitus care. Course DescriptionThis course is designed to provide participants with a practical application of tinnitus clinical services. Participants will receive detailed information on the current diagnosis and treatment options available for patients with tinnitus. Various tinnitus management methods will be reviewed with more detail provided on the Progressive Tinnitus Management technique. Additionally, participants will be provided with practical information for serving patients with sound tolerance disorders.

This course is offered for 0.65 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level, Professional area).

Central Michigan University is pending CEU approval by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of .65 CEUs.
