REGISTRATION AND RACE PACKET PICK UP TENT

• T1 North Shore Line, Northern Line & Western Line Saturday 8 July 2.00am to Monday 10 July 2.00am Trains may run up to 10 minutes later than normal due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

• T2 Airport Line, Saturday 8 July 2.00am to Monday 10 July 2.00am Some trains from the City to Revesby run to a changed timetable.

• T2 Inner West and South Line Saturday 8 July 2.00am to Monday 10 July 2.00am Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Campbelltown, Homebush and the City.

• T3 Bankstown Line Saturday 8 July 2.00am to Monday 10 July 2.00am Some trains run to a changed timetable around the City Circle.

• Blue Mountains Line Saturday 8 July 2.00am to Monday 10 July 2.00am Trains may run up to 10 minutes later than normal due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central. Trains will not stop at Granville.

• South Coast Line Saturday 8 July 2.00am to Monday 10 July 2.00am Buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong.

• Hunter Line Saturday 8 July 11.30pm to Sunday 9 July 6.40am Trains may run up to 15 minutes later than the normal timetable.

If you did not pay to have your race bib mailed by post, you must collect your race bib from the Registration and race packet pick up tent on either Friday or Saturday prior to event.

If you have paid for your race bib to be mailed out and have not received it please contact [email protected], or visit the registration and race packet pick up tent to organise a replacement. If you wish to upgrade from the 5k to the 10k or downgrade from the 10k to the 5k please contact [email protected] or visit the registration and race packet pick up tent.

ROAD CLOSURES (Important to note)

Road closures will be in place along the event route from 5:30am, all roads to re-open by 10:30am.

The Overseas Passenger Terminal Car Park will stay closed until 11:30am. Road closures include sections of George Street, Alfred Street, Hickson Road, Sussex Street and Pirrama Road. For more detailed information about the road closures, visit Live Traffic NSW or call the Traffic Information Line on 132 701.

Parking options (Limited)

Utilise the following parking options to enable you to be at the race start 45mins before your race starting time. Anyone driving in the area is advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time. 1. Clocktower Car Park, 55 Harrington St, The Rocks. Approx. 5-minute walk to the start line.2. Sydney Opera House Car Park, 2 Macquarie St, Sydney. Approx.

14-minute walk to the start line.3. Barangaroo Reserve Car Park, Entry via 1 Towns Pl, Barangaroo Point. Approx.

13-minute walk to start line.

ARRIVING TO THE START AREA AND EVENT START TIMESThe recommendation for the morning of the Real Insurance Sydney Harbour 10k & 5k is that you arrive at the start area 45mins prior to the commencement of your race start time.

5k Start Time: 8:00am Start Line Cut-off: 8:10am (must be over the start line by this time) Official Cut-off: 0hr: 55min (9min/km pace)

All runners in the Sydney Harbour 5k event will make their way to the start marshalling area inside the entrance of the Overseas Passenger Terminal Carpark. There are two marshalling areas clearly labelled A and B. Group A (race bibs beginning with A) will be loaded onto George Street first, followed by Group B (race bibs starting with B).

There is one gun and one starting time for both groups. Remember, your timing chip will record your own personal Net Time. However, your race result is based on Gun Time.All prams must be in Group B for the safety of other entrants as well as the children in the prams.

10k Start Time: 8:30am Start Line Cut-off: 8:35am (must be over the start line by this time) Official Cut-off: 1hr: 35min (9min/km pace)There are four marshalling areas clearly labelled A, B, C and D. A, B, C are located in the closed carpark of the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT). Groups A, B & C (race bibs starting with A, B & C) must make their way to the start marshalling area inside the entrance of the OPT Carpark 45mins prior to the start. Group D entrants will be asked to proceed to First Fleet Park, passing in front of the Museum of Contemporary Arts, and up to George St via the steps in First Fleet Park. Entrants with prams or in wheelchairs will proceed to Alfred St and turn right onto George St.Please listen to instructions from staff and volunteers on where the marshalling areas are located. All prams must be in Group D for the safety of other entrants as well as the children in the prams. Group A will be corralled into the start chute first followed by Group B, Group C and then Group D. There is one gun and one starting time for all four groups. Remember, your timing chip will record your own personal Net Time. However, your official race result is based on Gun Time.

If you have items that you need to store during the race, you can drop these at the baggage area on race morning. Important Instructions for baggage: -

1. Baggage area will be located at the Northern end of the Overseas Passenger Terminal, under-neath the Terminal (see venue map on page 6).

2. Affix the baggage sticker (replica of your race bib) to a plastic bag provided at the baggage area. If you paid to have your bib mailed out to you, your baggage sticker will be located at the baggage area. Present your bib number at the baggage area to receive your baggage sticker on event day.a. No personal bags or backpacks will be accepted at the baggage drop. You must

put any loose items into the plastic bag provided and affix your baggage sticker.b. Please do not leave any valuables in your bag; the organisers

will not be responsible for lost property. 3. Your baggage is held for the duration of the race and must be collected by 11.00am4. To collect your items, you will need to show your race bib to one of our helpful volunteers

to ensure you collect the correct bag.

Note: Baggage that is not collected after 11:00am will be treated as lost property and may be disposed of.

There is one water station on the 5k course located at approximately 2km mark on Hickson Road (before the U-Turn).

There are two drink stations providing water on the 10k course located at approximately 2km mark on Hickson Road. The second drink station is located just past the 5km mark on the boardwalk at Pyrmont Bay Park.

A timing device is affixed to the back of your race bib. Ensure your race bib is attached to the front of your running shirt, with the safety pins provided. This will record your time from the moment you cross the start line and when you cross the finish line.

Wearing your race bib is mandatory throughout the event to enable course marshals to decipher between 10k and 5k runners and for entry into the correct start marshalling areas. The timing device is disposable.

Note: do not bend your timing chip or wear clothing over the bib or your time will not be recorded.

Last year, it was great to see so many people proudly wearing their medals for hours after the race was officially over. So, after crossing the finish line do not forget to collect your Real Insurance Sydney Harbour 5k or 10k medal.

Your complimentary bottle of Pureau water will be available from the drink station within the Real Insurance Recovery Area.
