Session OverviewPeople who attend this conference have a yearning for learning and a drive to go deeper into all the technical details of Microsoft Dynamics AX. With three full days of learning, our aim is to deliver a high volume of content in a variety of session types. The end result for you will be an invigorating week and a mind-stretching amount of new knowledge. Here’s a recap of the different types of sessions we’ll offer at the Microsoft Dynamics AX Technical Conference: Keynote SessionsThis will be the time when the entire group of conference attendees gather to get the big picture. This year’s keynote sessions will feature senior executives and leaders from the Microsoft Dynamics team who will provide you the vision and direction of Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Business Overview Sessions (E2E)For this technical conference, we will be introducing Business Overview (also known as “Day in the Life” or “End to End”) sessions, which will focus on highlighting key features within Microsoft Dynamics AX and how these features can help streamline day-to-day tasks for various customer personas. The personas we will be showcasing are:

• Project manager• Microsoft Dynamics AX Solution architect• Microsoft Dynamics AX developer and IT manager • Production manager• Store clerk• Financial controller

Breakout Sessions (BRK)Breakout sessions are what you might expect from a technical conference – a 75-minute presentation that may include demos. All sessions will be delivered by Microsoft Dynamics R&D team members who will share their knowledge and expertise with you. These sessions are geared towards providing a deep dive into a particular feature(s) area highlighted in the Business Overview sessions.

Instructor-led Labs (ILL)This area is where you get the hands-on learning with Microsoft Dynamics AX. Within the Instructor-led labs, we will pose business scenarios for you to solve and then offer alternatives for you to compare and analyze. Instructors will be on hand to provide solution guidance.

Ask the Experts SessionsThese are some of the more interactive sessions you’ll participate in at the conference. Take the opportunity to ask questions of a panel of experts from the Microsoft Dynamics AX team. Representation from the Microsoft Dynamics AX development team, product management and our leadership team will make up each panel. We will be hosting simultaneous panels focused on:

• Microsoft Dynamics AX components (server, client, tools, etc)• Microsoft Dynamics AX application (financials, supply chain, human resources, payroll, etc)• Manufacturing• Retail• Business intelligence and reporting• Services industries• Public sector

Get a head start at submitting your questions for this session and email us at [email protected]. Be sure to state which panel you want to answer your question. Pre-submitted questions need to be submitted by 18:00 on Tuesday, February 4.

Focus RoomsMeet with the development team and ask them your hard questions. Each room will have set office hours where you can pop in to ask a question (check the conference website or mobile event app for topics and the schedule). Interested in scheduling a meeting? Email [email protected].

Technical LevelsAll session types are graded in relation to their level of complexity i.e. 100 = Introductory; 200 = Intermediate; 300 = Experienced; 400 = Expert. Please see the conference website or mobile event app for details of the level for each session to ensure that you select the most appropriate to best meet your needs.
