I am exceedingly grateful, O Lord, for You have heard my cries and complaints, and You responded with mercy and strength. Now my life is overflowing, with thanks giving, and my mouth is filled with Your praises.

If only the leaders of our disjointed worldwould listen to Your wordsand direct their people in accord with Your will, they would then know the meaning of peace, and they would rejoice in the ways of God.

Thus I know You will fulfill Your purpose for my life.Your love and mercy is everlasting; You will not let me go.

Antiphon: You have redeemed us ,Lord God, in your blood, from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made us a kingdom to our God.

Worthy are you, our Lord and God,To receive glory and honour and power,For you created all things,And by your will they existed and were created.

Worthy are you, O Lord,To take the scroll and to open its seals,For you were slain,And by your blood you ransomed men for GodFrom every tribe and tongue and people and nation.

My soul magnifies the LordAnd my spirit rejoices in God my Savior;Because He has regarded the lowliness of His handmaid; For behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed;Because He who is mighty has done great things for me,and holy is His name; And His mercy is from generation to generationon those who fear Him.

He has shown might with His arm,He has scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and has exalted the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He has sent away empty. He has given help to Israel, his servant, mindful of His mercyEven as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his posterity forever.

1. Let us pray to Christ who gives us the hope that our mortal bodies will become like his in glory.

Lord, you are our life and our resurrection.

2. Lord, you are the light of the world and the teacher of holiness, grant that we may remain firm in the true faith and proclaim your name to the ends of the earth.

3. Compassionate Savior, you wiped away all tears when you gave back to the widow of Naim her only son; comfort those who mourn because the one they love has died.

4. Christ, our Redeemer, destroy the reign of sin in our mortal bodies; let us not receive the wages of death but the reward of eternal life.

5. Lord, you came to preach the Gospel to the poor, teach us the art of translating your Word into our lives.

Dear Jesus, I want to receive Your gift of love--love to relieve my inner longings, and love to brighten the lives of others and help them find true happiness. Jesus, come into my heart as my Lord and Good Shepherd. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to be a living example of Your love to others, so they, too, will want to open their hearts to You and receive Your love. Amen.
