GET INVOLVED If you would like to be part of the email prayer team praying for the upcoming Missions Conference, please contact Jeff N. In addition to medical oversight, Faith Community Nursing needs volunteers to pray with people, do light housekeeping or yard work, join the driver pool, or provide a meal to be delivered. If you’d like to help or if you have questions, please contact Kristie A. at [email protected] or 452.6520.

When everything seems to be crashing down, we go into survival mode. We can’t think about the future; our energy is consumed with trying to get through today. An unexpected pregnancy can drive a family already on the margins to the breaking point. Under that stress, abortion looks like an immediate solution — about 40 percent of women who choose abortion say, “I can’t afford to have a baby right now.”

It doesn’t have to be this way. Brandy and Justin were running out of options. Pregnant with their second child, the couple and their 2-year-old were living in their car.

Stressed, afraid, and barely getting by, they didn’t know how they could care for a newborn. Bethany’s Life Impact fund provided a hotel room for three weeks while this young family looked for an apartment. When they didn’t have enough cash for the deposit, Bethany helped them cover that expense so they could have a safe, stable place to live, and begin to see a brighter future for their growing family. With their basic needs met, they could take the next steps to find work and parent their second child.

Bethany’s Life Impact Fund provides emergency assistance for essentials such as prenatal care, food, housing, and other common expenses so women can carry their pregnancy to term, whether they decide to parent or make an adoption plan.

Our BabyCare ministry is a ministry of love to underprivileged babies/toddlers and their families in Sheboygan County.

There are two branches of BabyCare:

Newborn Layettes – we give a gift-wrapped box of onesies, blankets,

clothes, diapers, and a New Testament to referred families of

newborns.

Diapers – we’re part of the National Diaper Bank and we provide a quantity of diapers, newborn to size 6, up to 12 times within 12 months.

Current needs for our BabyCare ministry:

New or gently-used 0-6 months clothing

Volunteers to distribute diapers. Volunteers work at our Ministry

Annex for a 2 hour time block on a Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.

For more information, contact Marge V.

Anchor of Hope is one of our church’s Partner Ministry Organizations. Located in downtown Sheboygan, Anchor of Hope is a life-affirming clinic encouraging healthy sexual choices, and sharing the hope and truth found in Jesus.

Interested in helping?

Attend the upcoming Intro to Anchor volunteer informational meeting held at the center (703 N. 9th St.) on Monday, February 5 at 7pm

Not everyone who wants to come to church can make

it . . . but the church can go to them! Join us in

"bringing the church" to our friends at nursing/

assisted living homes!

Meet at church at 2:15pm. Then we’ll head out to our locations.

Once at the locations, we'll fan out throughout our

sites and invite people to come sing, hear a brief

devotional, and socialize. The services at each

location will begin at 3pm. Come encourage hearts

and be encouraged. It’s a great activity for the

whole family!

The 69th annual Missions Conference is just around the corner! This year’s theme, Good News in the Desert, is based on Acts 8:26-40. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Craig Ott, is on staff at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and is the current ReachGlobal Chair of Mission. Along with Dr. Ott’s encouraging words and challenge to each of us, the weekend will be filled with incredible opportunities to see how God is at work in and through our 18 supported missionary families and 5 partner ministries.

Join us for the Turkish-themed kick-off dinner on Friday night and sign up for Saturday morning’s men’s breakfast or ladies’ brunch. Kids for Missions will also run simultaneously with the evening programs.

Tickets and sign-ups for all events will be available between services starting next Sunday, January 28!
