Respect My main source of acquisition of the trait of respect is from sports. - They have taught me to respect my abilities and their boundaries. - They have taught me the importance of respecting your teammates or the people that you work with. - They have taught me to respect my superiors ie. RespectMy main source of acquisition of the trait of respect is from sports.

- They have taught me to respect my abilities and their boundaries. - They have taught me the importance of respecting your teammates or the

people that you work with. - They have taught me to respect my superiors ie. Referees, Coaches.

Perhaps Most Importantly…- Sports have taught me to have respect for my opposition or competitor. To

recognize and appreciate their strengths, identify their weaknesses and capitalize on the opportunities they present.

- I have learned to always treat your opponent with courtesy, respect and dignity.

EquityI have learned the value of equality from peers and mentors around me. Being enrolled in equity at school has opened my eyes to many different points of view and personalities. Trips such as the “leadership trip” have strengthened my appreciation for equity and all its complexities.

Time Management SkillsI tend to actually like being busy to a certain extent. It keeps me occupied and gives me purpose.

- Being enrolled in a very heavy course load with Advanced Functions, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English and Equity all at a university level, I have had a lot of practice juggling responsibilities based on importance and urgency.

- The extensive list of activities that I participate in added onto my academics has given me exposure to high levels of stress and given me practice dealing with it.

- Have the ability to multi-task.

Strong Work EthicWhether it’s injury, heavy workload, fatigue or general stress, I always seem to push through and finish what needs to be done.

There are two mottos that I think about from time to time that I like to live by…

- “You can until you can’t.”

- “Someone once told me not to bite off more than I can chew...I told them that I’d rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity.”

I think these two sayings have helped me get through tough situations like injuries and stressful circumstances like juggling the many responsibilities that I have.
