Using IMOVIE:

This is how I begun my project on IMovie: In order to begin a new project; I clicked on “file” and then “New Project” – Then created a name for my project.

Once footage was loaded on to the computer and in a folder ready; I clicked on Import in order to import all of my footage into my new project ready to begin editing my work.

Using IMOVIE:Here is IMOVIE open; this is where I edited my trailer and dragged clips down to the bottom in order to edit them to how I want them

Here is where I dragged my music into from iTunes. You can make the music louder and quieter by dragging this movement up and down.

Here you can crop a clip in order to make it larger or just to zoom into somebody's face. I used this tool for a few of my shots to enhance the emotion through my characters faces.

Here is where all of my raw footage is kept; I am able to still view it all if there is anything else that I want to include. I can also drag it down to the bottom and begin editing it to how I like.

Here is the screen on I movie where you can view footage or your work up to how much I had done.

Using IMOVIE:

Once I created my trailer there are SEVERAL different ways of publishing it. I chose YouTube so that it is easy to view for my audience feedback and also the examiner.

In order to publish my trailer to YouTube – You

click onto “Share” and then

“YouTube” : Once I clicked on to share to YouTube, You log in to your email via I movie and then it publishes to YouTube through I movie.

Use of IMOVIE: This slide shows how to use the “Inspector” which is a way of editing a clip; You can make clip changes to the clip which is changing the speed (making it slow motion). You

can also make Video changes to the clip which consist of changing the colour of the clip; brightening it and darkening it etc. Finally you are able to make audio changes which enable the clip to change by making the music louder or quieter on a certain

clip. You can also DUCK the sound so that the music is silent in the clip and the characters can speak with minimal music interrupting the scene.

Use of KEY NOTE :

One opening up key-note you are able to change the back ground colour etc. I changed mine to the E4 colour scheme which meant having a purple background

I used key note in order to create my opening and ending title cards. The screen shot below shows how I began to design my title cards.

The text boxes are already on the blank page on Key Note. You can double click to edit the font/size and colour and begin typing in your text.

Using the inspector enables myself to make movement with the text or images on my title cards; there is several different types of transitions that you can insert onto your work which are effective.

Use of KEY NOTE :

Here is my final title card which I used at the end of my trailer in order to give my audience an awareness of when the programme is on and what channel.

I made several attempts at different title cards in order to make sure it was correct for my trailer. I was able to save each one to my desktop so that I was aware of the changes made to the title cards.

Use of GARAGE BAND:

My Music through ITunes: My final song that I chose to use for my final trailer.

Here is my song edited once cut to the part I wanted, I then repeated the same opening of the song to fit my 90 second trailer.

The timing of the song is displayed below as well as the editing tools and my original song with out any edits made.

SOCIAL MEDIA: GMAIL

Question 4 – How did you use MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES in the CONSTRUCTION and RESEARCH, PLANNING and EVALUATION stages?

When I first began my research and planning for my final pieces: The first use of media technology that I used was GMAIL. I signed up via Google.

I created a GMAIL email address in order for all of my work sign ups such as: Slide Share, You Tube, Blogger to be all through my GMAIL address.

My GMAIL address was: [email protected]

It was helpful to have ONE email address for all of my media coursework as I could sustain all of my work within one email log-in. This became organised for myself when having to login to different websites for my media.

SOCIAL MEDIA: BLOGGEROnce I signed up to GMAIL: I used

BLOGGER to create a Blog to upload all of my research, planning and work for the final production of my final pieces; I have also uploaded my final pieces to my blog as well as my planning and research.

My final pieces in the Blog consist of my Trailer, My two ancillary products

which are; a Magazine Front Cover and Poster.

Title at top of the page proves and shows from the full name that this is my blog and my coursework within the blog.

These links: September, October, November and December are an easier way of clicking onto and finding older work. For example my planning would be in September as that is what I did first.

Using the “edit post” tool is away of receiving comments on my work which has been used for QUESTION 3 in order to receive audience feedback

In order to create a new post for my blog to upload my work; click on to “ new post” then I can begin to insert my work

Using the edit or view button; this enables myself to edit a post that I have created. Or view it to see if it is correct/right.

Able to look back at when all the work was created; date and time is situated on the right hand side

I used www.youtube.com to upload all of my ROUGH CUTS for FRESHERS and also my Final Piece. In order to do this I had to sign up with YOUTUBE and share my videos on there, once they were uploaded I uploaded them on to my Blog.

I created 7 videos including my final piece which is also on my YouTube channel.

I created a FREE slide share account with my GMAIL address.

I created a slide share account in order to upload my power point presentations on to, my presentations are of my planning, research and work towards my final pieces. Once they have been uploaded I used the EMBED code and inserted it into the HTML box on my “new post” then it is uploaded on my blog

My twitter name is “@spgxx” this was used to communicate with my tutor with handing in rough cuts and blog and trailer advice etc. I communicated with my tutor through out the entire process of creating my trailer – through Twitter

Evaluation: Powerpoint

Q4 Question 4 – How did you use MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES in the CONSTRUCTION and RESEARCH, PLANNING and EVALUATION stages?

In order to present my Evaluation I decided to present it with a

Powerpoint Presentation; this is because I feel that I am familiar with this and can evaluate my work to its best potential via PowerPoint.

I have done this through PowerPoint from the use of annotating my work with shapes and arrows. Also using print-screens of my work in order to show what I am talking to rather than just explain with words.

I used a lot of text boxes through out my evaluation in order to explain my work, planning and evaluate my coursework.
