What have you learned from your audience Feedback?

Throughout this project audience feedback has been a crucial part which has developed/ shaped our media products. The audience feedback also helped us to see what our target audience wanted.

The types of audience feedback we used was surveys, question airs and screenings.

Pitch During the beginning stage we had to chose our band name, the type of song

we wanted and the logo/ font for our band.

We couldn't’t decide on a name so we made a survey and asked people who was into the type of genre that we was doing on what Name would fit best for this band. This helped us pick our name for our band otherwise we would have been stuck on a name and not got that far.

We then used a survey for the song that we should do due to the fact that we was stuck on the song we wanted to do. Most of the people have heard of the pretender by foo fighters so overall most of the people chose that song so we decided to go with that song. Another survey was given out to people which had our font for or band but we had various fonts on it. Once the audience filled it out it helped us chose the font type we want so we could put this onto our Digipak.

Digipak/ poster

During the creation of the Digipak and poster audience feed back was crucial and very helpful to me. It helped me create the Digipak and poster to what it looks like now. Feedback such as the image is two dark or the font is hard to see was really helpful to me and even the littlest of things helped me create what I think is a strong alternative rock band Digipak and poster. On the poster I was advised to add star ratings because on a typical Alternative rock poster it would have star ratings from rock magazines and channels. If I didn’t add this then my poster wouldn't be as strong as it is now and wouldn’t fell like a Alternative rock poster.

Music video• Audience feedback was a big part in creating our music video. We

screen our music video to the class which made them pick out the good parts and the faults in our music video. This helped us to fix all of these problems and to keep what the audience wanted and what they thought worked well. Most of the class are into the type of genre we like so they was a big help. We also screened it to our friends who are into the same music so they picked out the faults and the parts they didn't’t like. This is where we had to reshoot our band performance a lot of times due to the fact that the band wasn’t playing the instruments that well and the main singer (me) wasn’t giving enough energy into the performance. Another bit of audience feedback was to add more point of view shots which would enhance the running scene and make it look like the main character is actually getting chased.
