This ancillary task is effective because it coincides with our main production. I completed this on

Adobe Photo Shop CS3, my plan was to produce a basic story board on a film strip. I used different

pictures edited within different styles to get a better outcome.

Using Adobe Photo Shop CS3 I produced the opening scene

to our main production. This made our production almostcome to life as we could imagine our self sitting in the

cinema watching out production.

I believe this helped in the development of my main

production of Beneath the Bruises.

Bruises I produced this to try and make our production

come to life once again. I researched other DVD covers to

gather a wider range of ideas, We believe this is our best

ancillary task as it really stands out.

In a typical fight film the hero will always wins but in areproduction it goes against those codes and conventionsbecause at the end the hero doesnt winsIn basic fighting films there are typical mixed andrehearsed fighting moves but in are production it is basedon typical bullying that happens in an average schoolenvironment.In an average film the areas/ locations are picked to bedark and desolate for a fight were as are locations werebased on school environment.Are production goes against every codes and conventionsof a typical fighting film because of the locations the

fighting scenes and all of the props that we have used.

Feedbacky The feedback that I got was that everybody agreed that

the trailer was enjoyable. Also everybody understoodthat the genre was about bullying and a general fightfilm. Also all viewers agreed that it was not to long andthat there was enough information , also that theinformation was well balanced and there was not moreaction than story and visa versa. Some viewers believed

that the trailer was not exciting and could off hadmore of a rush to it. People answered that if they couldimprove on the trailer than the one thing they wouldimprove on would be the story line, they would putmore enthuses on the story line.

Constructiony The main software we used was final cut express which

is an advanced film editing tool that I personally had

never used before but after a few days it became easyand better than I movie.

y Also for our axiology task we used Photoshop pro to

make the DVD cover and over images. Which is adifficult program to use .

y For our research we used the internet to try and findout what the key codes and conventions of a typical

action film trailer and decide on how we as a groupcan bend them to produce an original product.

y We also used the internet to analyse other trailers and

see how we can make ours unique.

Planningy Unlike other productions, we made an animatic by

taking still shots of scenes that we thought
