Purpose
To evaluate the effectiveness of
Vibringe® to remove the smear layer
formed on the root canal wall surface
during root canal preparation.
Materials: 25 extracted human mandibular
premolar teeth
Materials and Methods
5.25% NaOCl solution
3% EDTA Solution(SmearClean)

cutting at the cervical region
Formation of root canal(K3 Endo, 0.04 taper, #25)
Combination of root canal cleaning and Vibringe®
Root canal cleaning
(Using 5ml of each solution, 60 second irrigation
and evacuation)
Washed with sterile distilled water
Method
Fracture parallel to the axis of mesiodistal tooth
Observe the surface of the root canal wall by
scanning electron microscope

This study demonstrated that SMEAR CLEAN
used in combination with Vibringe® could remove
the smear layer formed on the root canal wall surface
after root canal enlargement more effectively.
