How it doesn’t follow the codes and conventions of a magazine front cover.

Not an original font, it is the same as the rest of the page.

The writing is slightly over her face. As the writing is black

it is hard to read against the background.

There is no barcode.

No issue date which would usually be located just under the masthead.

Media technologies used to make the magazine

We used Photoshop to create our front cover.

I used the text tool to create the masthead and cover lines on my magazine. To lay my image I opened the file and fitted it to the page.

Media technologies used to make the magazine

We used QuarkXPress to create our contents page.

For our contents page I added photos using the photo tool and then resizing them to fit into the space I had made. I added text using the text tool, I added my title and the rest of my text with it.

Strengths and weaknesses of using the media technologies.

QuarkXPress Strengths• it was easy to insert text onto the page.

• The column template made it easy to set out.

Weaknesses

• When inserting the photos it is hard to resize it to get the whole of the photo that you want.

PhotoshopStrengths• It was also easy to insert text.• It was easy to fit and resize the image onto

the page.Weaknesses • It was easy to use so I cant think of a

weakness of using the programme.
