What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Tripod: I learnt how to get the most out of a tripod by adjusting the height or the tilt it to get the shot I wanted, and the usefulness of always having a steady shot.

Digital video camera: I learnt how to film with a digital video camera, and I learnt about all the different settings you could use to get the effect you wanted, for example: although we didn’t use a black and white setting it useful knowing about it for future use.

iMac: before starting this project I didn’t know most of the basics of using a Mac computer. However, now I feel confident in using Macs and have realised how useful they are for projects such as this, for example its hard to find an editing software as easy to use as iMovie on a PC.

In the process of making our video I expanded my knowledge of PowerPoint and learnt how to use Microsoft products in far more detail.

I can now upload PowerPoint and word documents onto slide share and embed them onto my blog to enhance my coursework.

We used YouTube to upload our video and embed it onto our blog. I learnt how to upload videos on to you tube and get feedback from other people.

Face book was extremely useful as a way of contacting the rest of the group to organize filming, and to send each other work so we were all kept up to date if we were ever absent. With out face book I would of found it very difficult to stay on top of work when I was out of school for some time.

I learnt how to create a blog and embed and upload different types of files on to my blog to make it as varied as possible so its interesting for viewers.

Using iMovie helped me acquire editing skills. I previously had little knowledge of Macs and I am now confident with he basics of editing.
