How can standardization contribute to innovation?
Use recognized methodologies, processes, terminology… Don’t reinvent the wheel !
Enable the fast and easier market exploitation of research results
Ensure results adapt to market conditions Dissemination of research results to European
stakeholders in your field Long-term exploitation of research results

From chaos to order:
A wealth of new opportunities – BUT What does the ‘research world’ look like? Who does what? What groups / Technical Committees/ expertise does CEN-
CENELEC have to match? Where does standardization fit in? Etc

How will Horizon 2020 address standardization ?
Our proposals
-Include references to standardization needs and opportunities in the Horizon 2020 work programmes
-Encourage proposers to use standardization to support the transfer of innovation to the market and increase the impact of research projects
-Provide for the possibility that funding arrangements for necessary standardization activities could be addressed at later stages of a project
