Making postcards for Europe Day
Europe Day9th May
Robert Schuman was the French foreign minister
between 1948 and 1952. As a result of his
experiences in Germany, he recognised that only a lasting reconciliation with Germany could form the basis for a united Europe.
On the 9th of May in 1950
Robert Shuman’s statement was the first step
towards the birth
of the European Union.
Since then we celebrate the
Europe Day on the 9th of May.
We have programs and
festivals on this day, that brings
people of the EU together.

It’s very important to us that our children can learn a lot about other European countries and cultures. The Comenius program is a
grate opportunity to do this.
We enjoyed the following Comenius activity too, we’ve
made some postcards about Europe Day.
