unable to access their organisations IT
systems using their mobile devices or
dont know whether they can access
themor not, only 9 per cent of these were
aware of their companies plans to enable
mobile access to IT systems.
Buck added Enabling secure, mobile ac-
cess to IT systems at any time and from
anywhere delivers efficiency benefits,
enhancing productivity. Having to wait
for staff to be sat in front of their PCs be-
fore they can access corporate systems is
an archaic approach which is stifling for
business.

New Strategic Distribution
Relationship Between Partners
ABBYY announced in February that it
has entered into a new strategic distribu-
tion relationship with Tech Data
Corporation. Under their agreement,
Tech Data will distribute selected
ABBYY products and software support
services through its established network
of value-added Apple and document im-
aging resellers in the United States. In
addition, selected products will be avail-
able from the new StreamOne Solutions
Store an end-to-end supply chain plat-form that, according to Tech Data,
revolutionizes how the channel sells and
distributes software and cloud-based ser-
vices. Included within the distribution
agreement are the ABBYY FineReader
line of Optical Character Recognition
(OCR) products, ABBYY Recognition
Server, the ABBYY Lingvo line of dic-
tionary solutions, and ABBYY PDF
Transformer.
Document imaging is one of todays
most in-demand solutions, and many or-
ganizations identify the managing of
information as being critical to their
long-term growth and ability to scale,
said Wendy Maurer-Linsky, vice presi-
dent of Peripherals Product Marketing
for Tech Data. Document recognition
and document capture technologies are
critical to the information management
process, making ABBYY technology a
natural addition to our offerings. Part-
nering with ABBYY further extends our
world-class solution portfolio, enabling
our network of resellers to increase the
value they provide their customers.
Tech Data says its advanced logistics ca-
pabilities and value-added services
enable more than 125,000 resellers
worldwide to efficiently and
cost-effectively support the diverse
technology needs of end users. Under the
new distribution agreement, the com-
pany believes it will be able to better meet
the demanding document management
and OCR needs of its resellers in the Ap-
ple and document imaging marketsegments, as well as through the
StreamOne platform.
Tech Datas pre-established network of
resellers in the Apple and Document Im-
aging communities allows us to increase
the distribution of our solutions signifi-
cantly, said Bill Kouzi, vice president of
sales, distribution and VAR group at
ABBYY USA. The new relationship
with Tech Data allows us to further pro-vide industry-leading, affordable
document processing, automation, cap-
ture and linguistic technology to users
across numerous verticals, including the
often underserved Mac user community.
Additionally, involvement in the new
StreamOne Solutions Store allows us to
deliver our software electronically, ex-
tending ABBYYs solutions to a new
group of resellers.
