November: Month of the Holy Souls
Throughout the month of November, we will have the Book of Remembrance at the side of the church, by the Tabernacle. You are invited to write the names of your deceased loved ones in this book. They will be remembered in all our Masses during November. —————————————————————————-
All Souls Day Mass Monday, Nov 2nd
There will be a special Mass on Monday, Nov 2 at 7:00pm in celebration of All Souls Day.
On this holy day, the universal church prays for the dead whose faith God alone knows. All are welcome, and you are especially encouraged to attend, if you have recently lost a family member or a close friend.
A Memorial Mass will also be celebrated by Fr Marinaldo
and OLOR in the Mausoleum at Royal Oak Burial Park on Sunday, Nov 1 at 2:00pm. All are invited. —————————————————————————-

Fr. Carey is a priest from the Archdiocese of Oregon who holds Master’s degrees in Theology Counselling, Psychology as well as a doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

Christian Charities Bazaar & Raffle tickets
We are making preparations for the bazaar on Nov. 7 and any support you can give, either donations or time, will be most appreciated. All proceeds go to various charities.

This is the last Tues & Wed that we are collecting books in the Parish Hall; between 9:30am and 11:00am.
The raffle, where the price is right and the prizes are great is a major part of our fundraising for the year! We would appreciate if everyone would take some books of tickets to sell to friends, relatives and to co-workers. Raffle books can be picked up from the ticket sellers, we would really like to meet our goal of selling 6,000 tickets!

Families for Children (FFC) Annual Sale
Sat, Oct 31 at Holy Cross Church Hall: 9.30am - 2.30pm.
FFC School in Dhaka –educates young children from the nearby slums.
At the sale, we have jewelry made with pearls and semi-precious gems, costume jewelry, scarves, knitted goods from South America, silk jackets and purses from India and many other interesting gift and local craft items.
All proceeds go to the Canadian orphanages in Dhaka, Bangladesh and Tamel Nadu, India.

St Andrew’s Cathedral
Seeking Pianist /Leader of Song
The Cathedral parish is looking for an accomplished musician/singer for the 5:00pm Sunday Mass, beginning in January on an ongoing basis.
This person would work closely with the Director of Music and Pastor to choose appropriate hymns and acclamations for this Mass. Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and music is necessary. Appropriate candidates will be interviewed and auditioned. A monetary stipend will be offered.
