parishioners make sure to pick up a complimentary copy of the book “Perfectly Yourself” located in the church entries. Matthey Kelly teaches us how to find the balance between accepting ourselves for who we are and challenging ourselves to become all we are capable of being. Perfectly Yourself is for anyone who has ever failed at a diet, survived the collapse of a relation-ship, or wondered if he or she will ever find a fulfilling career. It’s a book for all of us who long to be at peace with who we are, where we are, and what we are doing, not in some distant tomorrow but here and now–today.

REFLECTION: “…as the Lord has forgiven you,

so you must forgive.” - COLOSSIANS 3:13 Forgiveness – one of the hardest things for people to do. It’s amazing how long we can hold a grudge or be angry with someone. As we celebrate the feast of the Holy Family, take this opportunity to give the gift of forgiveness to someone - maybe someone in your family, maybe a friend, maybe a co- worker or neighbor or, maybe yourself. Pick up the phone or text someone right now.

CCD NEWS:

NO CCD on Sunday, December 31. Christmas break !! CCD Class, Sunday, January 7, 9:00 - 10:15 AM

SA ALTAR SOCIETY MEETING on Wednesday, January 3,

7:00 PM in St. Andrew’s Church. All members are welcome.

SA HISTORY: “As alumni of St. Andrew’s Catholic School, I am very

excited to be researching the history of St. Andrew’s Church and School. There were about 16 stained glass windows in the old church most recently demolished and the names on these windows were pioneers that played a significant role in the building of our second St. Andrew’s Church in the early 1900s. St. Andrew’s Altar Society, Little Blossom Lohman, Henry and Anna Klöesner, I.H. Grothe were on a few of these windows. If you remember others, I’d certainly appreciate your help. Please call, text or email me at 402 639-0486 or [email protected] or convey the name to Robert and Judy Bruns. Thank you so much for your help! ~Gayle Suhr Thibault”
