Here we go again. SEO, SEO, SEO...This week I was tasked with taking all of the information that I gathered from the SEO tests that we ran for various clients and finding a way to present it in a professional manner to them. At first I thought well this shouldn't be too hard, well I thought wrong. Trying to find a balance between what the clients need/want to know and what they will understand was difficult. Having to explain, in a document, what we analyzed and the recommendations that we came up with without sounding to technical was the main issue. After reviewing all of the information and choosing what is the most important, I came up with a preliminary report. It is by no means perfect or complete and I do not believe that it will ever be. The Internet is ever changing which means that everyday someone figures out new ways to optimize organic searches, design websites, and pretty much everything else that has to do with the World Wide Web. Staying on the cutting edge of technology is a full time job but if you are able to do it you will be one step ahead of your competition. This is one of the reasons that I have to keep up to date with the SEO materials because like everything else that has to do with the Internet, there is new information everyday. You just have to be prepared to figure out what is the correct information versus the bogus information and that is a huge task just in itself. If there is one thing that you should keep up to date on if you aren’t already is SEO. It could make or break your online business strategy so don’t let your website fall behind.
