Ethical and Moral Philosophies
Identify and discuss at least two of the moral philosophies’ applications to business.
A moral philosophies methodology is an application approach proven to assist in making fair and
rational ethical decision making by leaders. Large percentage of modern day manager’s button
line decision is based off the scope of personal moral judgment, which can be a disaster. When
an organizational culture understands and follow the principal of the company’s moral
philosophies as a group, the outcome of moral decision-making will present positive ethical
results.
Deontology
Virtue Ethics
we provide a detailed description and analysis of how individuals’ backgrounds and philosophies influence their decisions. People often use their individual moral philosophies to justify decisions or explain their actions. To understand how people make ethical decisions, it is useful to have a grasp of the major types of moral philosophies. In this chapter, we discuss the stages of cognitive development as they relate to these moral philosophies. We also examine white-collar crime as it relates to moral philosophies and personal values.
