Day One – Depart from USAToday we’ll leave home behind as we board our overnightinternational flight to Dublin.

Day Two – Arrive in Dublin. City Driving Tour, Phoenix Park, St.Patrick’s Cathedral Our local representatives will meet us at the Dublin airport. Webegin our journey this morning with a stop at St. Patrick’sCathedral. The church was transitioned from a Catholic churchto the Church of Ireland over the centuries. John Wesley spokeand administered communion here on one of his numerous visitsto Ireland. Travel on to Phoenix Park. Once a private park only fortitled gentry, it now serves the public as the Dublin Zoo. You mayopt to purchase lunch here near the site of Ashtown Castle, aNorman castle keep. After a short driving tour of Dublin, we willcheck in to our hotel for some down time before dinner.

Day Three – Trinity College (Book of Kells), PowerscourtGardens, GlendaloughWe will start our day in Dublin with a walking tour of TrinityCollege. We’ll visit the Old Library here and see the Book of Kells,an ornately illustrated Bible produced by Celtic Monks. Then onto the bus for a ride through scenic Wicklow County toPowerscourt Gardens, part of a large country manor built in the1700’s. From here we will make our way to Glendalough, one ofthe most beautiful spots in all of Ireland. See Celtic High Crossesand a stone roofed church, as well as the wonderful hiking trailsaround the two lakes. Return to Dublin to our hotel for dinner andovernight.

Day Four – Rock of Cashel, Cobh, KinsaleWe depart Dublin for southern Ireland. We'll see the Rock ofCashel, the traditional seat of Irish kings. Here St. Patrick isthought to have converted the King of Munster. In Cobh, we willvisit the Heritage Center. From this port, between 1845 and1860, 2.5 million people sailed to America. We will finish our dayin the port city of Kinsale and take a trip to the famed CharlesFort, one of the finest examples of a 17th Century Star Fort.

Day Five – Kinsale, Blarney, Kenmare This morning we will enjoy a walking tour of Kinsale. See theNorman French inscriptions in St. Multrose Church which wasbuilt in 1190. The courthouse was used for the inquiry over thesinking of the Lusitania in 1915. Then we’ll travel to Cork to visitBlarney Castle. At the Castle of Blarney we will see the fabledBlarney Stone. Legend says that those who kiss the stoneacquire a gift of eloquence. Visit the town or Kenmare. A 5-minute walk from town takes us to one of the hundreds of stonecircles that can be found in Ireland. We will finish the day inKillarney, where we'll check into our hotel for dinner andovernight.

Day Six – Ring of Kerry, Waterville, Muckross House Delight in some of Ireland's most spectacular scenery as wetravel around the Ring of Kerry. Weather permitting, we'll take ina sheep dog demonstration. Stop around lunchtime in Waterville.Charlie Chaplin brought his family here in the summers. Afterlunch we'll visit the 19th century Muckross House. Enjoy thismagnificent Victorian mansion that is considered one of Ireland’sleading stately homes. Return to Killarney for dinner andovernight.

Day Seven – Adare, Bunratty Castle, Cliffs of Moher, theBurren, Galway Today we will enjoy the beauty of the thatch-roofed streets ofAdare. The church here has a Norman castle keep at its center.We will travel through the enchanting Irish countryside, toBunratty Castle, near the town of Limerick. Bunratty is Ireland’smost complete and authentic, elaborately furnished medievalcastle. As we travel through the Burren Region, we'll arrive at theCliffs of Moher, sheer cliffs dropping 600 feet to the water below,one of the most impressive stretches of shoreline on the westcoast of Ireland. We'll continue on to the ancient port city ofGalway, where we will check into our hotel for dinner andovernight.

Day Eight – Connemara, Kylemore AbbeyThis morning we will visit the Connemara Region, famous for itsrugged scenery. The National Park consists of 5,000 acres whereponies and Irish red deer roam freely. The region is world famousfor its green and white marble. We'll stop at beautiful KylemoreAbbey run by the Benedictine Nuns. This granite and limestonestructure is one of most photographed buildings in the country.We will return to Galway for a walking tour of the city.

Day Nine – Clonmacnoise, Malahide Castle, DublinToday we visit Clonmacnoise, an important monastic siteand the burial place of kings. Among these fascinating ruinsis the famous thousand-year-old cross. The 10-foot SouthCross with its Passion carvings testifies to the high level ofartistic excellence of that day. We continue across the islandto Malahide Castle, which was both a fortress and a privatehome for nearly eight hundred years. The house is furnishedwith beautiful period furniture together with an extensivecollection of Irish portrait paintings, mainly from the NationalGallery. Then we check in for one last night in Dublin.

Day Ten – Return to USAWe will carry the people, beauty and history of Ireland withus as we return home.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Price is based on double occupancy. When available, single rooms are often smaller than doubles.While ETS will try to match roommates, ETS cannot guarantee a roommate will be available. Roommatesmay be assigned as late as 35 days prior to departure and, if one is not available or you request asingle room, the following charges apply: $498 during the basic week; $198 for Dublin On Own Extension.PAYMENT: A full deposit of $300 per person is required. Final Payment and full travel protection premium is due105 days prior to departure. Travel protection premiums must be paid in addition to initial or final paymentfor coverage to be in effect. Final payment for trip is due 60 days prior to departure. Registrations received 105 days prior todeparture or less may incur an additional fee based on air availability. Additional fees will be advisedupon registration. CANCELLATION FEES: 100% of Cancellation Fees are covered by the optional Travel Protection Program, provided premiumhas been paid and reason for cancellation is insurable. Those who do not take travel protection shouldbe aware of the following cancellation penalties: From day of registration to 105 days prior to departure,you will be charged the $100 non-refundable administrative fee plus any airline fees. Additionally,thereafter, you will be charged any airline penalties and a single room supplement if your cancellationforces your roommate into a single plus the following charges: 104-60 days = $400; 59-45 days = $600;44-31 days = 40% of total cost; 30 days to day of departure = 100% of total cost.
