Eesti Erinoorsootöö Ühing noOR is comprised of social and youth workers who are committed to supporting youngsters with fewer opportunities on Estonian, European and international levels. Working within community and regional partnerships, noOR facilitates activities, trainings, and exchanges that encourage youth participation in civil society, personal development, European mobility, and international volunteer opportunities. Welcome to Estonia Useful info Postal charges: You can find information in English about different post changes at http://www.post.ee/index.php?id=2022 !Telephone services:

− Calls to Estonia: the country code for Estonia is +372. Dial +372, then the area code and the subscriber's number.

− Calls from Estonia: Dial 00 + the country code + area code + the subscriber's number.

− All of you will receive a pre paid phone card which you can recharge. !

EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBERS: Emergency numbers are the same from all phones, including mobiles, anywhere in Estonia. For emergencies dial 112 (police, ambulance, etc) For anything important dial +3725514112 (Kai) !!Safety The same rules for personal safety that you follow elsewhere in the world you should also apply in Estonia: stay alert at all times, don't wander around unfamiliar areas alone in the dark, and watch what you drink and with whom. In general Estonia is a safe country. !What to bring? !• Passport. European Union citizens can travel with ID

card, but it can be useful to have a passport to travel outside EU (Russia). !

• Mobile phone. You can buy here local prepaid card which is pretty cheap and very useful.

!• Clothes. This time of a year weather in Estonia is still

cold, but also warm!!! You can check it from www.weather.ee. To buy clothes in Estonia is expensive, so rather bring some along. Please bring your towels and toiletries. !

• Photos. Bring some photos of you with your family and friends from different periods of your life. !

• Information about your country. It’s always good to bring some things like maps, photos, flags or leaflets about your own country. Also your favorite music and cooking recipes! !

• Money. Bring some cash for first days. It is not necessary to bring a lot of money in cash, you can withdraw it from ATMs in cities with all debit or credit VISA/MasterCard cards. Estonia is using Euros since 1st of January 2011. !

• European Health Insurance Card. This Card is issued for free in all European countries without costs and it will be important during your stay in Estonia.

1. Pocket and food money: all of you will receive food and pocket money, which will be given to you every after two weeks in cash. First payment will be on the second day after your arrival in amount of 97€. Assistants need to collect receipts from shops to justify their food and pocket money.

2. Local transport. You will also receive tickets for public transportation. There are special wheelchair friendly buses, trolley's (especially) and trams with low entrance. You can check their schedule online. !!!!

3. Accommodation: You will live in Tallinn Hostel with shared rooms. There is no need to bring bed linens, just bring your things to keep personal hygiene. No smoking indoors and WIFI is available in all the rooms.

4. On arrival training: – On-arrival training will take place from the 16th to 18th of April in Tallinn.

5. You can have your vacation calculated on a basis of two days per each EVS month. We have planned free time from to the end of the service, so you'll have time to prepare going home. ! !!

6. Assistants: of course you are welcome to join the EVS as if it is yours, participate in activities, contribute with ideas, etc. But you are welcome to have free time in any time your volunteer will not need you, there are some moments.

7. We would also like to record Fix iT project experience, so I kindly ask here your permission to be filmed and photographed. In case you do not want that, please let us know, we will respect that. here you can introduce yourself and give your contact also guidelines

8. Wheelchair Friendliness in Estonia: is not very common, but major super markets and office buildings are accessible.
